Twitter couldn't stop jerking themselves off to the SEC only getting 3 teams in. These people absolutely do not care about if the best teams get in. Their entire point of view is coming from a place of envy and pettiness
For probably 99% of college football fans, "seeing the best teams get in" comes in a distant second to "seeing my team get in". And nobody outside the SEC wants to watch the SEC (one conference) dominate the sport so thoroughly.
This was set in motion after 2011. It was bad enough that the SEC was winning the BCS every year, but it got to the point where both teams in the game were SEC. You knew right then things were gonna change, and it wasn't going to be in any of OUR best interests.

That 2007 year of Football started off with a bang with that game and continued all the way through the year and the 2007 season continued the magic that ended with a 2 loss LSU Tigers taking the Championship.
Most fun Football season as a whole I can think of.

The Big 10 and Big 12 need more games between each other to prove the separation of the Conferences like the SEC and ACC.

Boise State was doubted several times years ago and they proved the haters wrong. Even though Chris Peterson isn’t there anymore, let this play out and then if they face plant you can LOL at them

What? You are melting. The rules were established before there were 3-loss SEC teams left out.
Sure those teams left out could go on a run and win it all, but based on the performance during the season they wouldn't and don't deserve the chance.
The seeding is the issue as Oregon gets no benefit for being the lone undefeated and so on.

People are not shy in their outward distaste for anything SEC related. It's why people like Josh Pate get ridiculous amounts of hate for just stating the obvious. An Iowa State fan that gets called an SEC shill simply because he can acknowledge the fact that the SEC is the deepest conference that earned the benefit of the doubt they were given to this point through consistent results. Yet people call it a "media talking point" as if it's something made up for ratings and not literally what happened.
I don't have to embellish any of these points. It's literally what they think and say and is a factor in why the sport is currently where it is. Remember how the 4 team playoff was going to "expose" the SEC? Then the SEC kept winning anyway, so obviously the solution was expansion because it wasn't "fair" enough.
