OPs metrics are the dumbest anyone has ever come up with for anything.
He flushes about 90% of legit titles for all teams down the toilet in an effort to rid us of the 10% bogus ones.

Not legit. LSU played the #3 team in the AP poll in their bowl game.

Even after taking a hatchet to everyone's titles, Alabama still has double the titles of the next team.
Count em however you want, Alabama will always be at the top

Sad that the creator of this website is just as pathetic as your everyday tiger rant poster.

So you're saying that Saban has out-National Titled every program in CFB history
"So let it be written, so let it be done."
According to the Chicken College Football National Championship Opinion Poll, CCFNCOP, Alabama has the record for number of Natties.
And Nick Saban is the GOAT, probably never to be replaced.

And Bama didn't win their division and conference in 2012

The bottom line and how it is. He can cluck all he wants, we don't care what he thinks. It's merely his opinion and it doesn't matter.

Do you agree that claiming 16 titles is a tad bit absurd?
I count 15. 1941 is the only one that is bullshite, imo. But whatever criteria it's used, Bama is still on top. Duo at a certain point, I just don't care anymore.

By your method we have twice as many as anyone else.
I'm fine with it. Notre Dame fans will put out a hit on you though.

Not only is Chicken's point sound, but he does not take it far enough. In 2014 #4 tOSU would never have played for the championship, but due to the playoff they won it convincingly on the field.
It is clear before the days of the four team playoff there was no national champion. The NCAA didn't decide one, and that's just the way it is. Before that you can only claim consensus (or disputed) media #1. Which is something. Just not the same thing
If you can win a natty by vote lets eliminate the CWS and just have the sportswriters vote on it

You're not understanding. After the BCS came into being, the AP went out the window. During the BCS era the #1 and #2 teams according to the BCS, not the AP, played. So the Saban led 2003 team is the legitimate national champion.

It's comical to see a borderline rival mod/fan spend this much time and energy to create a thread in an attempt to diminish the history of Alabama Football on the eve of Alabama playing for yet ANOTHER National Championship.
