I would agree with (going backwards):
1. BCS titles. No AP championships in the BCS era.
2. AP/UPI back to 1936. This will allow some teams that won it but lost the bowl game, but that was the rules.
3. Determine which polls were legitimate before 1936, and go with the consensus.
If we stop counting 2 or 3 based on this criteria, I'm good with it. I'm tired of jackasses trying to discredit all of our titles when there is one bad claim and a couple of questionable ones.
(To the State fan - it's not stealing when you simply publicize that we won a poll. Use your brain.)

It's basically the wild wild west for claiming titles before the AP. Everything up until Frank Dickinson in 1926 was awarded retroactively.

Bama doesn't have 15 but they have about 7-8 where they were at least a co-champions.
Miami has a legit 4 the 5th maybe a co-champion situation.

This topic is the word of gumps against the nation. It's like when everyone else says ur opinion is ridiculously wrong but you continue to speak it as fact. I'm just glad everyone (ESP AU does t claim that BS that the Tuskegee newspaper awarded us national champs. Embarrassing.
Let em say what they want, it' just proves the point that they base their ego on BS which in turn thee nation laughs about. Even bama didn't claim most of those titles til an alumni wrote an article on how they should. I certainly don't care how many they "say" they have,,, it's a good laugh a stupidity IMO.

LSU/AU fans arguing about how many titles Alabama has are like slumdogs arguing about how much money Bill Gates has. Neither of those programs have a pot to piss in when it comes to CFB history, which is why they are so fascinated by Bama's I suppose.

I promise to use small words so you can understand. Alabama was awarded no poll championship for 1941. Therefore there is nothing to publicize.
