it would make no sense except as a publicity stunt. the guy is done. I doubt he wants to recruit. I doubt he wants to deal with college kids. I doubt Auburn wants the lawsuits... Auburn needs to hire a good up and comer or someone that's hungry like USCe, Bama, and LSU did.

Trent has had success at Nevada and Stanford. Last year we won the SEC and beat Butler and gave UNC by far their best game in the NCAA tournament. This year we sucked but have a top 15-20 class coming in. We will be back soon with Trent.

I hope bro. I'm excited about the future. Trent isn't a rowdy, blow smoke up the fans asses guy like Pearl so its going to take winning to put people in the seats. If he can get some of that good class from NO that are sophomores right now to come to LSU, we're going to be legit NC contenders sooner rather than later. A guy who looks like he has a chance to be #1 in that class has said LSU is his favorite.

Bobby Knight is done, he could never coach again in this enviroment. None of the old guys can coach in this enviroment anymore, guys like knight coached in an era when the NBA was not factor, they could recruit a kid and plan on him being there for four years, you could build a consistent powerhouse cause you could plan for him to be in school for four years. Guys you have to recruit to get in the final four are NBA type players that are one or two and done. Just look at the years since the NBA rule changes. Most kids do not have the luxury of sticking around if they are good enough. Senior basketball players usually have to find a real job after the NIT tourney. Knight does not have the patience anymore for this type of game. Building consistent teams year in and year out will keep you in the NIT.

I would love to have Bread Truck Charles Barkley as our coach. He would fill the stands and get recruits. We may end up on probation but he would bring spotlight to the program.

If we had gotten to the tournament we would have gotten to the second round.
We were a tournament team, but a fragile one.
We were pretty much a Malcom White away from being a sweet 16 team.

I stand behind that we'll end up with either Chuck Person, Tony Barbee from UTEP, or if Jacobs is serious about Basketball, he'll show the big bucks to Mike Anderson and at least make an offer.
