If UGA plays Bama close in the SECCG and UF and USCe lose to their prospective ACC rivals then I think there is at least a decent chance that we end the season in a BCS bowl. If Bama blows the doors off of us then we're screwed either way.

If UGA wins out, shouldn't they have a HUGE claim to be in the NCG?! (HUGE if btw)

eah, it sucks that UF will go to a BCS game over UGA if we lose the extra game. However, UF loses to FSU, then who goes? UF, UGA, USCe and LSU will all have 2 losses
The highest ranked team..LSU

If we played Bama close, then probably us.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on last year's Sugar Bowl matchup.

quote:not really. LSU would likely be 4th or 5th in the BCS. if 4th, they are automatically in the Sugar Bowl
If UF loses to FSU, UGA loses by 14+, LSU or South Carolina get Sugar.
Would be interesting to see who gets Sugar Bowl under scenario 3.

UG = Outback Bowl vs Michigan
Embarrasses SEC again with loss

Hasn't your team lost to a Michigan team like 3 straight times in bowl games?
No real room to talk, IMO.

If you have 10 teams and say LSU and UGA are the top 2 loss teams and FSU and Clemson finish with 1 loss.
then you're assuming FSU beats UF and Clemson beats SCar. FSU is guaranteed a spot if they win the ACC Championship. Clemson has to beat SCar. if SCar wins out, they still won't make the BCS because of the 2 conference team limit.

FSU won't beat FL, so don't worry about it.

Yes, and embarressed each time.
But not nearly as embarressed as when we lose to UG, Vandy or Kentucky.

Weak grind.

UGa is just shite out of luck. For UGA to lose in the SECCG and go BCS bowling it would require UF to lose to FSU, LSU to lose to either MSU, OM or Ark and USCe to lose to Clemson. All 3 teams must lose, because UGA is going to drop below all 3 in the BCS losing the SECCG. It's not hard to see really, UGA is barely ahead of these teams with 1 less loss.
Plus, UGA's resume is the weakest.

Well a lot of the experts disagree.
Because they arent thinking this through at all. SECCG loser typically doesnt go BCS bowling, rarely has ever happened. You lose the SECCG and have same number of losses as someone else in the conference, they go BCS bowling, not you.

UO, KSU, ND - 2 of those 3 will have to lose a game for UGA to make it
