Blueblood status is set 4 life, you're not simply removing that status ...
Texas and OU will always be considered bluebloods

Texas and Michigan are brands...but they don't have the championships to be blue bloods. They think they are...but aren't.
Michigan literally has the most wins in the entire history of college football.
Here's an interesting comparison of Michigan and Alabama historically

I would for sure put Auburn over a lot of these schools. It’s easy to become a blue blood when a couple teams got to dominate the Big 12 for so long.

yes Nebraska is a blueblood, historically superior to most programs. Don't confuse "blueblood" with "elite" which is what the OP is doing. Ya, Georgia and Ohio State are the elite teams right now...maybe Alabama is still too, we will see
But we are talking bluebloods on this thread

there is no such thing anymore. A few still have some lingering rep but it only takes one bad season to lose that. ND has the most of that

Are you 20?
You see, before the Big XII....there was a conference called the Big 8....
And one called the Southwest Conference

You forgot to mention yall have lost 23 games since 2019, very blue blood of you.
Bwaaaahahahahalolololol an Ole Miss fan virtue signaling and talking uppity high and mighty blue blood crap.
Boy, (meaning you), I was going to Ole Miss games in Oxford when (or before) you were shitting your diapers.
I was an Ole Miss, Johnny Vaught, Rebel fan living in Olive Branch long before I attended the UofSC. But, you forgot to mention, until these past two games, our series was tied. That too will swing back eventually.
I'll still be pulling for the Rebs 99% of the time, buttwad.

The term "blueblood" and its ordained teams were decided long before the Big 12 existed.

So…by your definition Texas is a greater blue blood than a few in your list. That’s not what blue blood means historically btw

Georgia only has 3...one of them is an Auburn-type retro gimme trophy, in a year Ohio State was AP Champ

A “blue blood” is simply someone who has high social standing by virtue of something that was done several generations in the past and not by virtue of their own accomplishments.
When we take that definition into account, I am perfectly content for my Aggies to be nouveau riche.

I care about that title about as much as I care about the price of Bulgarian stomach pumps in northern Bulgaria. We win games, your team doesn't. What else really matters?
Correct.
It's so damn silly people get bent out of shape over this term. Is there some blue blood fairy that goes around and gives these schools a bonus or something I'm unaware of? Because as far as I can tell, it's just a title/label tied to history and nothing more.

Well, we're 7-1 and a heckuva lot better than pit of bog-sludge that you cheer for. You got alot of gaul on this SEC forum, putting down real teams.

There it is. Just say you hate Texas and OU, that would have been easier.
Btw blue blood status was when Texas was in the swc and OU was in the big 8, for someone referencing Robert e lee you clearly don’t know much about history

Georgia really? Your definition of blue blood is way off compared to how it’s normally used apparently lol
Posted on 11/2/25 at 2:08 pm to hughfreezehotline
We don’t consider LSU a blue blood. Chill out brah.
You fell for this weak troll.
BTW, UGA isn’t a blue blood either.

Do some research 15 sec titles 4 claimed national titles 4 unclaimed national titles.
Claiming titles that may or may not (fake) exist doesn't make you a blue blood. And nobody gives a shite about conference titles factoring into that equation.
*Do accurate research. Not made up bullshite.

Oklahoma fan saying conference titles don't matter lol. OU is ranked #1 in conference titles
I think its a good category to determine success...
