Let's compare 5 games instead of 3 for Harris in 2015 and Etling in 2016 prior to Alabama. All FBS teams with 4 being SEC teams.

Harris (2015)
56/92 60.8% 5TDs 0Int 655 yards

You're adding two more games to the three already listed (which for both is the three games prior to Bama) right?

If so, how did Harris gain two more games and lose both total yards and tds from the three I already listed?

Harris he had an INT ball get tipped up to Dural for a 60 yard TD and a lucky Hail Mary against Fla for like 50 yards

Wait wut, all last year prior to the Bama game Harris's stats vs UF were used as proof he had improved significantly and when Bama fans tried to say want you just did were blasted by all you L5u fans. Damn this is funny, the amount of double talk and pure homerism from L5u fans is awesome. Keep it going, build it up, the melt will be glorious, again for the 6th straight game.

LSixU has a very nice look.

Harris can only take the top off a defense. He his vision sucks. He is scared to sit or step up in the pocket. And he not accurate at all.

Danny has a weak arm. and can't throw the deep ball. But he has pocket awareness. And can think on the fly.

I think we might see a little Brandon Harris in this game. I wouldn't put it passed Coach O. Especially since Alabama is have troubles with covering the deep ball.

Danny is scary bad at throwing the out routers too. I don't want to see many of these unless he rolls out. Arm is weak and those go for pick6's. But he does have the intuitive mind of a Brett Farve. Just wish he had the arm.

Honestly, you can look at stats all day but it doesn't change who's better. I think it goes beyond stats. Simply having pocket presence, able to check down when nothing's open, and not scrambling as soon as defender is anywhere remotely close. I guess you really just have to be an LSU fan or watch every game from both to realize that.

The choice of games wasn't manipulation. They're the three games prior to Bama for both QBs. It just so happens that the schedule worked out that both faced 1 OOC FBS, 1 SEC-East, and 1 SEC-West foe in that stretch so I don't see how it could get much fairer.

The point is to show that when you get down to final production results, right now 2016 LSU isn't looking much different than 2015. At this time last year, all we were hearing was how BH had thrown for 3 straight 200+ yard games with a bunch of TDs and no picks then the wheels fell off.

In a little less than two weeks, we'll get to see if the results still look the same.

I wasn't one of those fans. I never thought Harris would beat Bama. I just wanted him not to lose it.

There is one thing no one is taking into account. The Oline won't be too worn out, over matched, and nicked from Miles grueling practices.

How about you look at the stats from 2014. Jennings threw for 120, 110, and 140 yards the 3 games prior to the Bama game but still some how forced that game to OT.. hmmm

Why would I care what Anthony Jennings did? Louisiana-Lafayette isn't on Bama's schedule.

Because the point is that he was terrible and we were still in position to win the game due to defense.

Two different offenses. Les and Cam like run, run, and throw deep for low percentage chance.

The new offense is much more short to med pass and mix in the run.

There is no comparison. Makes on wonder if Harris could be productive in this new system.

Both stats are good enough if the rest of the team is funcionting well.

Defense is not the subject of this thread, but feel free to start one about it if you wish.
