Was this written by ancient astronaut?
quote:

Ole Miss—and any program under investigation—isn't docking itself anything more or less than what it feels will stick in the eyes of the NCAA, and 11 scholarships over four years is nothing more than a minor speed bump for what has become a recruiting machine in Oxford.

quote:

So if you're predicting doom for the program based on what's to come, you think a $305 electric bill is going to bring down a program?

Really?

quote:

If you think Ole Miss is dirty, that's fine.

Ole Miss itself admitted that Friday.

If you think this is going to send the program back to the cellar of the SEC West, you're mistaken.

All the self-imposed penalties do is limit the margin for error.

Of course we will. Winning the SEC this coming season is pretty competitive.

First try making it to Atlanta for the first time EVER. (And btw the time where you made rings to celebrate getting pooped on by TCU doesn't count.) That will probably involve having to get 10 reg season wins for the first time EVER. Too bad neither is happening or likely ever will happen.

Melt bitch melt

Situations like this drive the more sensible fans off the board/internet, so we're left with only the crazies and their extreme cognitive dissonance. Makes for hilarious reading. They will probably invade this thread shortly.

Depends on schollies reductions. 11 will make it tough but if they go to 15 or 20 they are screwed. I can tell you that for a FACT. The SEC is difficult anyway. You try playing with 60 players. Our program was as low as you can get with sanctions. During our time we had a 4 win season, two 6 wins. Ole miss is screwed if this gets to 15 schollies. Other players will transfer as well, especially those 4 and 5 stars, so 15 becomes 30.

Agreed, expect they aren't losing just 11 schollies

So winning less than 10 games again, losing to Memphis, and still not going to Atlanta is considered "eliteness"?
