I never have accepted our fans using our WR injuries last year as an excuse. We lost. UGa won. End of story.

We've busted Texas fans' balls for 13 years about, "If Colt hadn't gotten hurt..." I don't want to hear whining about our WRs.

Is blaming the refs beta? Or in your world it’s alpha?

So...Stetson Bennet walks out there and tears his achilles in warmups Monday night and Georgia goes on to lose, you think we would not a hear a peep from Georgia fans claiming it just might have had an effect on who won? I appreciate you guys sticking to the fantasy that you UGA "alphas" would never dream of blaming a big loss on an injury but really?
Of course losing your starting, experienced QB is going to affect the game. Sometimes it's for the better, though. Remember when Bama's starting QB got shut down by UGA two games in a row and they decided to sub in the backups in the 2nd halves, leading to wins each time?

That being said, we've got a capable backup in Carson Beck. If he can't run the offense effectively (even if not up to the standard of Bennett) after 3 seasons, then he hasn't been properly developed, and I'd blame the coaches for not getting him ready.

If we take an injury to our starting QB and lose the game, then that's God's providence and not something I could rightfully be upset about. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control.

Depends on the player

Bigger issue is end of the year no shows.
I get the kids have fat little girlfriends whispering in their ears but at some point, if you start a year you need to man up an finish it.

No shite every team has injuries but mot all injuries are the same - an injury to a blocking TE is not that same as an injury to the primary #1WR or QB an an injury to the primary pass rush end that a team has to game plan for vs an injury to a rotational DE that plays 12 snaps a game.

Sure. Not sure what/who you are referring to, but if it is any of the Georgia games we were missing huge pieces to the puzzle in the game against Alabama (both games0 and the game against Ohio State.

But then I forget. In the Rants mind Georgia injuries don't count. Every team goes through them, and every team has them. If you just wish to maximize one teams injuries while minimizing another teams, then that's on you.

Just so we are on the same page...are you arguing that the injury to Colt McCoy cost Texas a title?

Take Brock Bowers and Arian Smtih away from UGA when they played OSU, still think UGA wins?

Next Man Up. It was only one receiver. Heck, there was once* a season where you could field two football teams with all the players missing.

There is a difference in an in game injury to a player who was a key part of the game plan compared to an in season injury of key player that allows for game plan adjustments.

Do we get Washington back in this hypothetical? If so, yes. Even if not, possibly yes anyway.

We still had 4 reliable contributors at WR that we could throw to in addition to our RBs that aren't too shabby catching out of the backfield.

We've got depth, which helps us put up points on offense even when we are missing our fastest receiver all season and other receivers throughout the year.

So....coaches cannot adjust during a game? That seems like a huge problem.

Also, no matter when an injury happens, you have a guy who could not beat the starter out playing. It is a downgrade in production.

So, I am guessing you are of the school that Colt McCoy's injury early in the first half cost Texas a championship?

It's amazing how hard of a time some people have wrapping their heads around this.

Do you think Texas wins if they get Quinn Ewers and Colt McCoy back?

Stet completed passes to 10 receivers. We don't gave a bell cow WR or RB like most schools.

I find it amazing that coaches making $8-12 million can't make in game adjustments.

QB is the only one I give credence to. A team can't stockpile 12 QB's in the locker room, like you can with linemen and linebackers and db's and receivers.

Sometimes the backup QB is as good or better than the starter, but that's not usually the case.
