Careful, randomways. You are in danger of confusing TnM and upsetting his delicate balance of the universe. All Vandy grads are smart, all auburn fans are righteous, all Bama fans are ignorant and evil. No Vandy fan can make a statement supporting anything positive about Alabama, or the TnM Universe will implode.
Now help him settle down by repeating after me: "Bear is dead. Saban is a liar. Gumps are the devil."

An elite pass rusher can turn a good defense into an elite one. Happens all the time.

McElroy and McCarron were really accurate, and their completion percentages were great, but I'm sure that Blake's isn't that much worse than their's. He makes more risky throws too, which isn't necessarily a good thing, but when it pays off, it's a great thing.

But...but I've been offering moral and logistical support to the Aggies lately. What does it all mean?!?
Edit: Also, we are all smart. We regularly get together and hold conversations entirely in calculus equations. So I'll just wish you all a very d/(dt)(v^2lambda)=v^2lambda^+2vv^lambda and leave it at that.

Is he an elite pass rusher?

I'm not surprised at the anti-Sims Bama fans in this thread..
These numbers didn't come from just anywhere... people act like all of Sims throws come on the run after alluding the rush... just about all of his deep passes have come from the pocket.
Sims is the least sacked QB in the nation and has home run speed while possessing a very accurate arm with the fast release around. You don't just get these type numbers from thin air or luck.. Sims is really really good.

You get them from throwing 70% bubble screens

Lulz Sims has probably thrown 10% bubble screens since pre-Florida.
Guy is a really good mid and long range thrower.

I admit I was wrong about Blake. I told Bama fans before the season that I had serious doubts about his ability, and he proved me very wrong. He's still not my choice for best QB in the country, but he's easily been well above average in his performance. He can extend the field quite well, and has a pretty good aim. Some of the overthrows and underthrows I've seen were a bit egregious, but even Cooper can't catch uncatchable balls, so the fact that Cooper is tearing it up is evidence enough that Blake Sims is doing a good job.

are you trying to dull the truth of your QBs... who do you think is better...? I'm sure you'd have to pick one outside of anyone on your roster for the foreseeable future.

This will be a fun thread to bump in 2 weeks.

Blake clearly isn't the best QB in the country but he has been really good, and he's been really good in the middle of the field and down the field, which I didn't think he was capable of being.
Was really glad to see him play well at Tennessee because their defense is solid and it was hostile for the first 20 minutes or so.
Death Valley will clearly be a step up. I think he will be ok. We will see.

You really can't argue with his stats.

Nope. Sample size is big enough now that he is what he is. Solid.
