Coker for Heisman.

I'm pretty sure this thread was made to rustle jimmies but on the small chance you were being serious, you may want to take a look at Dak. Then go from there

Have y'all played a defense worth a shite yet? Seriously?

Yep. They played Ole Piss and Simms looked like garbage.

So like the fourth best defense in the division? Got it.

Well, they are bama and bama avoids competition as much as possible.
I have no idea, but I would guess bama's schedule so far has the lowest average defensive rankings for opponents of any team in the entire league.

I seem to remember threads after the Arkansas game saying Saban was a fool for starting Sims.

I looked it up. Here are the defensive rankings of bama's opponents (points scored against):
55
110
105
59
1 (loss)
60
71
40
Holy shite that is bad. One defense ranked inside of the top 40 and of course beat bama.
Average ranking of defenses faced by bama: 71.6

They've played OM and Florida. Pretty sure both have better total defenses than anyone Auburn has played yet.

Florida is 59th in the country in scoring defense.

And BTW, AU has faced the 6th, 16th, and 29th defenses in the country this year.
Much better than bama.

How in the world do we have any control over that?
I'm not saying that Blake is the best, even though I think he is an above average QB, but to act like it's our fault that we haven't faced a bunch of great defenses is stupid.

Sims stares down Cooper on basically every 3rd down passing attempt. Too bad the defenses, sans Ole Miss, have yet to pick up on it.

He wont be facing A&M's defense in two weeks.

That's the reason I specified "total defense." You did catch that, right? Scoring defense doesn't account for turnovers and STs scoring, and is only an aspect of any defensive measure. Total defense is a much more comprehensive metric. Which, of course, would defeat your purpose of cherry-picking for stats that make you feel better.

Y'all played Michigan State, the 6th-ranked defense? Astounding how little press that one got.
