Not bad for a dude who couldn’t beat out Jalen Hurts

Talk about a guy who managed to go way over his head.

Gave up at two different locations (Alabama and Arizona St). Went from 5* super prospect to "I really hope they're hiring in my chosen degree field".

John Doe actually promulgated an interesting theory that I don't know if I quite by. In the USC game back in 2016, Barnett suffered a concussion that limited him and allowed Jalen Hurts to kind of come in and take the reins from him. By the time he was 100%, Jalen had won the locker room and thus Barnett decided to transfer before the season was even halfway done.

Interesting theory. But I don't know if it's backed up by any kind of evidence.

Well regardless, we all KNOW what he would’ve done when Tua took over. Gotta give credit to Jalen.

Sorry it didn't work out with BB, I wish him well. As for Jalen, his numbers are better than a lot of starting SEC qb's. He is a natural born leader and I hope Saban keeps him as a graduate assistant coach.

I’ve wondered, if Barnett had stuck around, if he would’ve came in against Clemson when Bama kept going 3 and out and provided a spark. Happy for him to be having some success but the guy is obviously a “me first” type player and a less than ideal teammate with a father who is way too involved with his athletic career.

If Blake was any good he would not have washed out at ASU.

He should have thrown 3 INTs last night. Two were bad bad throws directly to defenders who dropped.

He still didn't throw well and was able to win the game with his legs. This would not have happened against an average SEC defense. I have no ill feeling towards him, because I don't believe he would be successful as a SEC qb, glad he transferred for all parties concerned.
