It really sucks for die hard fans that give a little money to University and go to games every so often. I mean ya'll had no part in this and it just happens to be affecting you personally.
been there. done that. and the only positive out of it is that it takes you from CARING TOO MUCH to relaxing and just watching the L's roll on in and accepting it for a while.
in a way it's peaceful, and in a way it's pure misery.

The time for speculation is over. It's annoying anyway.
If tapes as those mentioned earlier are confirmed to exist and are in the NCAA's possession, Auburn is done. It's just that simple. The he said/ she said crap is old.

in all reality, it's stupid that kids can't be paid. there's PLENTY of money for this shite to be regulated
These kids ARE paid...it's called a scholarship that guarantees a free education if they walk the straight and narrow. If you've never attended college or paid for one of your children, you may not realize what a sizable amount of money that is. Especially if it's out of state tuition. Also a lot of perks go along with an football scholarship. The most insane thing the NCAA could ever do is start paying amateur players.

I totally agree. If you have the evidence, BRING IT OUT!
But I highly doubt those tapes exist. If they did, they would've been reported or turned in to the SEC back in January (or July). Again, there are just way too many holes in all these allegations.
And why, if Miss. St. was aware of these alleged solicitations back in November, did they continue to recruit him? That's what I really wanna know.

You aren't going to hear the tapes until everyone is on record with their version of things.
Makes those involved wonder what was recorded and what wasn't, what they can lie about and what they can't.

AMEN! Geez, all this talking about giving kids extra money on the side in addition to a scholarship is ridiculous. They get their tuition, room and board, books and some meals paid for! THAT IS GETTING PAID! Depending on which school it is, that can range anywhere from $40,000-$90,000 over the course of 4 or 5 years. Maybe more.

If you know for a fact that's something's wrong and your program has any integrity, you don't keep recruiting the kid. Period.

The article also says that Bell said he talked to the NCAA earlier this week. So if that's true and Bell told them this, why is Cam still eligible?
Dude, It's just been "a few" days. Ever think the investigators are sorting thru this crazy maze of information to confirm and check facts with, say, phone records, hotel receipts, other transcribed conversations and meetings during their investigation before they have a sit down with the Chiz and crew? Everyone here has repeatedly said the NCAA and AU better have all of their facts confirmed and in order before they start declaring people ineligible.
