You dipshit, at least get your stats to talk smack right. It's the last time we had back2back 10 win seasons was 88-89. We've had 10 win season between now and then, granted not many but when you've got a grain truck driver as a coach and then his retard little nephew as the next coach things aren't gonna go so well ya know.

When's the last time Ohio St has had back2back seasons without blatantly breaking NCAA rules? And trying to cover them up? Don't do the crime if you pussies can't do your time.

And from 1960-2000 LSU had a total of 3, 10 win seasons. In 40 years, they had as many 10 win seasons as Arkansas has had in 6. See how easy that is? Don't act like LSU had a huge history of success before the 2000's....cause they didn't. They hired a coach who did wonders for them in 2000, who gave them 2 10+ win seasons in 5 years. Hopefully Arkansas can keep this high level of success, cause everyone knows they have the right coach in place.

What a WONDERFUL first post.

Arkansas is a mediocre program.

LSU 30
Arkansas 13

LSU may very well win this game. But, we are not mediocre by any streach of the imagination.

You are a fricking stupid arse. First of all, I love how you start your history lesson in 1960 - right after LSU finished ranked #1 in 1958 and #3 in 1959. Secondly, teams only played 10 games until 1970 and there were only a handful of bowl games until the late 80's. So until 1970 you had to be a very good team to have the opportunity to play 11 games and until the late 80's you had to be pretty good to play 12. Now teams have a 12 game season. All you need to do is win 6 to be one of 70 teams to play in one of the 35 different bowl games and get an opportunity to play a 13th game. And if you are good enough to win your division, you get to play in a conference championship and a 14th game.

Arkansas had a "10 win season" in 2006 with a .714 winning percentage. Big fricking deal. But if you want to make that the measuring stick, then LSU has 26 seasons in the past 50 where there winning percentage was .714 or better.

However, writing off Arkansas is rather stupid from all the big games we've played.

You mean the ONE bug game against Bama right? How exactly did that turn out?

Meh...y'all can act like king sh!t all you want the bottom line is the last 10 years y'all have experienced by far the most consecutive success in the history of your program. Congrats for that. But if you want to start from 1958 I will.

lsu 1958-2000
305-177

Arkansas
314-160

and if 10 win seasons is your thing from 58-2000 y'all had 4 ten win seasons. Arkansas had 8.

Since 2000 lsu has had 7 and Arkansas has had 3.

lsu made a phenomenal hire in 2000 and took off.

2000-present

121-33 (2 Natty's)

Arkansas

91-57

Talk about how awesome you history is and all that you want but you surpassed Arkansas when you hired Saban. WE just hired our "program changing" coach 8 years after your "program changing" hire. SEE YOU BEECHES IN BATON ROUGE!!

So what your are saying is, LSU wasn't an exceptionally good team in the 70's and 80's? Which is what I was saying. LSU fans like to think they have the history of an Alabama or USC when in reality their program was fairly equal to Arkansas before the Saban hire which has transformed your program.

Exactly but it's not my program. Arkansas is my program. He was griping about your response not including the programs history since 1958 so I did it for him. They're no Bama, but as I said earlier they think football began in 2000.

That's not what you were saying. Your remarks accounted for the 60's and the 90's as well. For that record, LSU was a much better program in the 70's and 80's than they were in the 90's.

Actually our 733 wins put us behind only 11 other programs in college football history. Our .653 winning percentage is #10 all time among teams that have played more than 700 total games.

Prior to 2010:
Alabama #7 in all time wins and # 7 in win pct. USC #9 in all time wins and #9 in win pct. Arkansas #20 in all time wins and #27 win pct behind such programs as Arizona State, Miami of Ohio Washington, Central Michigan, Colorado, Southern Miss, West Virgina, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M and Utah.

I would think that somebody from Texas Tech would be a little better at math. I'm pretty sure that #10 and # 11 are closer to #7 and #9 than they are to #20 and #27.

Gee the Texas Tech guy struggles with math and you struggle with reading comprehension. You might want to re-read my recent posts that refer to LSU's success over a 50-year period and a 113-year period. I'm not the douche bag that argues the success of a program over the past 6 years or since a new coach was hired in 2008.

Yea, I wasn't arguing about the last 6 years or success since 08. All I was saying is since 2000 you have passed Arkansas, at no time before that were you looked at as a better program than Arkansas. We're hopefully on our way back.
