He's right about Texas. They've only won the conference championship 3 times. The last time was 2005. Oklahoma has 14 conference championships. They last won it in 2020.

It’s crazy how munch things change. The Big 12 is going to be one good basketball league tho. In football, they will get the same number of teams in the playoffs just like other P5’s. They are just going to make half of what we make on better channels. Why did we sell our souls to ESPN??? Oh wait, money. I’m good.

Texas will be used to it, but how will Oklahoma deal with going from winning the Big 12 every year to challenging for the SEC once or twice a decade?

ESPN ABC only was such a bad decision.
CBS did such a good job of helping the SEC build our brand.

I mean they both objectively HAVE carried the conference in recruiting.

Eh, true, but he has no reason to kiss our asses at this point. Just doing his job by building up the remaining members.
I am proud that Texas built the Big 12 so the little brother SWC/Big8 schools have a respectable conference to call home.

They won’t be in our championship game either. Just a couple more has been charity cases. Not really sure why they’re coming here.
