Tops of the league would look like:
1) Bama
2) Oklahoma
3) Texas
4) Georgia
5) WVU/Florida
And it’s pretty hard to argue that. So the conferences are a push/BIG12 slightly better
I'm pretty sure every post season poll will opine otherwise.

Bama put the brakes on. Everyone watching knew that and chose not to rub it in by kneeling the last drive.
After Bama went up 21-0, allowing OU zero yards of offense, their defense never stepped foot on the field again without a three score lead.

Well, no the postseason polls will most certainly have this order outside of West Virginia. You can’t rank any of the sec above Texas and Oklahoma besides bama because it wouldn’t make sense. #2B12 beat #2SEC handily

Where does Maryland fit in your equation?

Texas lost 4 games. Alabama, Florida, LSU and possibly Georgia will be ranked ahead of Texas.

Wait I don’t get you guys issue with saying Oklahoma played them closer than any SEC team. Sure it wasn’t a close game at all but the fact is OU lost by 11. The game was 2 wild plays away from being a totally different story in OUs favor.
And the fact is, in regular season play, no sec team game WITHIN 24 frickING POINTS of these guys. That is pathetic as frick. At least Oklahoma sort of made it interesting. Bamas QB didn’t even have to play the 4th quarter till there was like 3 games left in the season against that sorry arse scheduled competition. And it honestly cost him the heisman. LOLL bet he wishes he played in the big 12

Texas with 4 losses, one of which to Maryland, is in no way jumping Georgia, Floirda and LSU.

Why does regular season have some sort of distinction? Why doesn’t Georgia’s game count? And Alabama only beat A&M by 22, not 24.

This is exactly my point, SEC teams with 3 losses should be treated as worse than big 12 with 4. Especially since the big 12 plays 1 more conference game. Georgia ends the season on a 2 game losing streak. LSU lost to A&M (lol). Florida had an impressive bowl victory I’ll give it to them, but let’s be real Texas has looked like the better team than Florida all season.
Preseason polls for next year are likely to have Georgia and maybe LSU higher than Texas, but do NOT get it twisted Texas will be no lower than 7 in the postseason ones. Even your precious paul finebaum had Texas 7, above Georgia, and Florida.

This terrible thread needs saved.
I'll be right back.

Since you like to assume only one game matters, I guess Maryland is better than Texas. Even with UT's win, UGA still has a better record.

Not true, according to the polls the SEC has twice the number of teams ranked in the top 25. Additionally, strength of schedule for the SEC as a whole and specifically the teams you cited is by far in our favor regarless of the number of conference games played.

That's 2 players. Baker Mayfield has proven nothing.
The SEC has Superbowl winning QBs, and NFL MVP award winning QBs.
Patrick Mahomes was only 1 of 14 total players drafted from the entire big 12 in 2017. That was easily the worst draft class in the modern era for a "power" conference. It was embarrassing. ALABAMA alone just had 12 players drafted.
The leagues are not close. The big 12 is dead in 6 or 7 years no matter how many bowl games they win.
No talent. 2 brand name teams and a bunch of G5 level programs.

Maybe at the top but not at the bottom. We would kick Kansas’s arse.

Idk bout you but looks to me like SEC powers would rather play in the sec not have to deal with these big 12 offenses.....
You do know LSU plays Texas the next two years don't you?

So your arguement is that your better because 3/4 of your top teams lost close.
But you’re gonna ignore 3/4 SEC teams winning big time games including Alabama winning by double digits against OU in a game decided in the 1st quarter

Though, I don’t agree with the way you framed this, I agree that the Big 12 is far closer to the SEC than 95% of the posters here want to admit.
Before bowl season, they were laughing about Texas Tech losing to Ole Miss. Then Oklahoma State beats a ranked Missouri team, and we hear different excuses (didn’t care being a heavily used excuse around here)
It would be:
Bama
OU
Texas
Georgia
LSU
Florida
WVU
Kentucky
Iowa State
Aggy
