I don't know about their top teams being better than the SEC top teams but definitely a better conference top to bottom. That's been the case the past 2 years.

A now 10 win Northwestern just about got taken down by Kentucky yesterday without Benny Snell Jr.
Sorry if I don’t find a 1 point loss with our best player ejected early as “far better”.

How does that refute the point? #8-#11 is a tier lower than #1-#4.
Ohio State lost two games. Penn State lost two games. Wisconsin lost their very last game of the season, and that's been the killer of countless teams' NC hopes. That isn't special or anything that's changed.
Clemson is in there because they have one loss. Alabama is in because they have one loss. Georgia is in because they have one loss. Oklahoma is in because they have one loss. It's so simple.

You gotta be some kind of stupid to think Georgia would murder Ohio State or Wisconsin. They would probably murder Michigan State and Iowa. But I’d put money on OSU, Penn State or Wisconsin to beat Georgia. That’s not even debatable. Alabama would give Ohio State a good game. Both teams have QBs who are deathly afraid of the forward pass. It’s a wash. OSU’s D-Line would kill Hurts. They almost killed the future number one draft pick last night.

But the suggestion is the conference is “far better” once you get out of the top 2-3. Wouldn’t this suggest it’s at the very least pretty comparable?
