You can dig up my first comment on Bielema's letter to JL.

I said "That's a nice subtle way of saying You're a guy I'd like to work for."

I didn't see it anything more than that, and certainly not fishing for a job, but that's one of the first rules to getting a job is to let the people that are hiring know you might be available.

anyway it shakes out, the SEC got better and there will be some really good games in the future, more and more reasons to be fans of SEC teams.

I agree that Beilema is a better coach than Johnelle.

I wonder how many other SEC head coaches had to beg for to be hired for their jobs? I'd say Butch Jones, but Tennessee was so desperate that I'm sure they begged him.

First off, I hate our foi'ing media - I don't care if its HDN or JL or whoever - it's bs and that act should be repealed or reworded or something.

Secondly, regarding Bielemas intent with the letter- I'm fine even if he was doing it to flirt for the job. I'm happy with the hire and if he wanted the job- well oh noes that's so horrible. Really? Hell no, good for him for being smart and taking the initiative.

Typical Bama Fan would say this, "I justify my actions by the end results". Well if the typical bama fan knew what those words meant, they might. It isn't surprising you guys overcompensate on that too by claiming championships Bama wasn't even close to being in the running for.

If you want to go that route, compare how many NCs Bama has to Arky.

Depending on how you want to go, I see Bama having 3 while Arky has 0 or Bama having 8 and Arky having 1.

I honestly don't like them saying 14 NCs but that's what they're going to do, and most schools do it as well.

Stop being a negapiggy.

MU football is a joke.

Not as much of a joke as Arkansas football or basketball!!

And BTW Belimia is going to bring a championship style of football to Arkansas. And I wish when our HC leaves(whenever that is)we can get someone like him.

He brings the Lou Holtz Notre Dame style of the 90's. Good running game and strong defense. Barry Alverez brought that to Wisconsin when he got the HC job and made sure Belimia stayed with that style of football. It wins championships and Arkansas now has a chance to win championships.

IIRC he said he sends out several hand written letters a year, he didn't specify if they were specific to just football,

Several is a very vague term.

I haven't been keeping up with coaching changes much after Bielema was hired, but is Pinkel really out at Mizzou?

Everybody is just awaiting the EPIC fricking meltdown Bulemia will have when another school poaches one of his recruits. Y'all will find out why everyone in the B1G thought he was an a-hole and 50% of Wisky fans even hated him. Dudue is a drama queen-in-waiting...

I have to admire a man who can say this with a straight face, after his school hired BOBBY PETRINO (before the affair but AFTER his behind the back conversations with auburn and leaving Atlanta in the middle of the season). And then you hired a guy because he is ethical, yet he is leaving a conference which prides itself on ethics, and looks down on the SEC...even he personally said that he didn't want the Big 10 to be the SEC 'in any way, shape or form'.

Here's to you, my friend. You have grabbed reality by the tail and whipped its arse into your own personal delusional pet.

you've got to be an idiot if you think he said all that 'with a straight face', no offense of course
