Unlikely, unless I was inserting myself into an already public controversy (immigration reform, abortion, etc.).
I would assume if you were paid to speak, you would be opining about a controversial topic.

Completely agree. Nothing wrong with the boss telling his employees what to do. Saban does this to his assistants a ton and his assistants are not exactly known to stick around a long time. The issue is not if meddling is bad. The issue is if meddling made Gus unhappy and the fact that Chizik may no longer be the passive coach we once thought he was.
Look Malzahn is a lot like Chip Kelly in the fact his offense is based on speed and number of plays to tire out the opposing defense. A couple of things hampered that which has been discussed offensively so I will refrain here. However, I think Chizik did want more of a traditional offensive tempo to assist our D not being on the field so long.
It does happen and many head coaches give directives and agendas. Couple that with the fact Malzahn has complete faith in what he is doing and wants to do and you get frustration. GM now has his opportunity to unleash his vision full force at Arky St.

Agreed. Gus knows his offense works and wants to be left alone in executing it. For the sake of the team however, his offense had to slow down and this order was directed from above him. No coordinator likes that and this likely played a role in Gus taking a pay cut to get the independence he wants. Nothing new here really other than the fact that Chizik was actually willing to stand up to him and give the order to slow it down. '12 Auburn will without a doubt be Chizik's team, not Gus' or Cam's, and it will be Chizik's time to assert himself and prove his worth.

He was talking about that nevertoyield crap.

You only have to read his captions to know his intent was not parody, but to cause as much damage and harm as possible to Gus and Auburn.
The nonsense happening with intent to hurt both universities by the actions of fans is beyond rational. Why can't we have a civil rivalry where we cheer like wild banshee's for our teams, but after a beating or victory offer congrats, a little smack talk, and then be on our way?
Oh well I'm afraid this will continue to spiral and be an even more tragic story in the future.
Absolutely. The whole thing is getting out of hand. The reason for it is because people's identity is wrapped up in how a college football team does. It is ludicrous.

quote:I agree. Although sometimes teams with bad D's just need to get in shootouts and let the offense get in a rhythm even though it hurts the D. It isn't ideal and probably not going to lead to long term success in the SEC, but it might not have been a bad idea this year.

The sports agent is an idiot for making that video and then admitting to it.

This move is just so strange. I was shocked when I heard. Kristi M is a joke, period.

I know if I'm looking for a respected lawyer or sports agent, one of the first qualities I'm looking for is someone who is talented enough to spend his time editing youtube videos.

The guy had in description of the video that Gus' offense was causing injuries and should be investigated by the NCAA.

From the looks of his website I don't think he has ever signed anyone other than undrafted free agents. But he does have a 10/10 on Martindale.

I'm glad Chizik did something about that offense we probably lose to USce and UF if he didn't.
