Before you guys make any judgments, you should talk to people who watched games from A&M's last national championship season.

SEC fans are not as familiar with A&M as with AU. According to College Football Data Warehouse AU is 13, A&M 20. All time winning % AU is 16, A&M 21.
As far as NCs, AU has 1 NC in the last 60 years, A&M 0. Not a big difference.
Heismans ?
Yes, AU is the better program, but not by as much as most SEC fans think. Currently, A&M has better resources: football money and recruiting base. Also, their "big brother" is not currently as imposing as AU's and hasn't been for a decade. Of course all of these factors can change.

Hate to say it, but historically AU is the better of the two.

It's a super weird rivalry. The underdog always wins.
2017: Auburn had a bye week advantage, and is 15th ranked w/ a solid football team. A&M is reeling after a beatdown @ home vs Miss St.
This is a no brainer. A&M will win this game BIG.

2012 says otherwise. A&M was a 14 point favorite and won by 6 touchdowns.

I think A&M has the resources and fan base to be a better program, but I would say Auburn is right now. A&M could theoretically change than in roughly two decades imo.

Historically: easily Auburn
Potential: Id lean towards A&M
