this has turned into some weird rivalry

How is this is a question?
A&M is solid, but they aren't on Auburn's level

Nah, but it's weird how the away team has won every game since expansion.

If only there was some official competition, maybe some sort of athletic contest where the side with the most points ( as defined prior to the contest) would be declared the best and the winner.
That would be cool

Both little brothers as well.

Because they've been somewhat on equal footing since aTm joined the SEC

A&M is the most boring school in the SEC by far

Definitely some similarities. Both respected universities & A&M schools with great facilities, long-standing traditions and passionate fansbases, but Auburn's football program has been more successful the last few decades. No good excuse for ATM to not have a more competitive program.

That was 30 years ago, bro, when Jackie Sherrill was paying players with cash sent via Federal Express.
A veritable blip on the radar.

From a 3rd party perspective, it isn't remotely comparable.
A&M is to Auburn, what Auburn is to Alabama.
Not in the same level, but distinctly beneath.

Well lets see both are little brothers and both are a cow college. Auburn easily has the better football tradition and football program.

Probably Auburn but a lot of it has to do with how Alabama and Georgia are performing at the moment. If both Alabama and Georgia are performing like they are now then A&M might be better. If both Alabama and Georgia are just average though then Auburn is far and away the better job.
