Which of Bama's 10 returning starters are you waiting to see tested?

I think LSU's secondary is slightly better, but otherwise I agree.

LSU's secondary hasn't been tested anymore than Alabama's has. Oregon and Mississippi State were both spread option teams. You could tell last night that LSU's secondary had NO respect for MSU's passing game whatsoever.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not last year.

Then you must also be sure that our defense got worse with the same players?

What's your email? I know a Nigerian prince that has a special offer just for you.

Oregon offense this year does not possess the same firepower as last year's. Anyone who can't see that has no business discussing college football.

We just put up 69 points...I don't know what the hell you are talking about...

Ehh...I think we can sling it around a good bit.

I guess we will have to wait until the Arkansas game to find out then.

I think they are different in dynamics.

I give the D-Line a Push

LB's strongly favor Bama

and DB's strongly favor LSU. Though Bama has some good guys back there.

I see LSU more as a faster defense. And Bama more as a physical defense.

Though this argument really doesn't matter. When it comes to game time It's the LSU O vs the Bama D, and the Bama D vs the LSU O.

I think LSU has the slight edge on defensive line.
Alabama has a much better group of linebackers.
And I think LSU has the slight edge in secondary.

Did I say that? Your defense was great last year, but isn't it possible... Now listen carefully, I don't want to lose you... That LSU defense surpassed Bama by practicing all fricking off season on how to stop the spread, developing better corner and safety play, and unleashing the Dline LSU is known for? That is what killed our stats last year. Our defense is calling the game "refreshing" vs what they went through all offseason.

Sit down though, we played three games, but after six games it's argument over. Get ready.

D-Line - LSU
LB - Bama
Seconday - LSU (based on athleticism, though Bama has more experience)
Coaching - Bama..that's not a knock on LSU, but most would agree Saban is a top 3 defensive coach in the country and some argue the top defensive coach.

The argument itself is really pointless. The Bama D will go against the LSU O, and the LSU D will go against the Bama O. The argument should be which offense will fare better against the other's defense.

I'm on the side that calls this a push

I'd say they're about even actually. Saban is more aggressive than Chavis but I'd put Cooper up against Nick as far as DB coaches go.

Can't argue here.

More experience?

Claiborne is a 2 year starter. Mathieu has more highlights in one season than most have in a career. Taylor is a 3 year veteran. Reid and Simon are your only argument and they played a ton last year and even started in the cotton bowl... Simon not till after Claiborne went down early.

Yes, more experience.

Barron - 3 year starter/4 years of playing time
Lester - 2 year starter/3 years of PT
Dre - 2 year starter/3 years of PT

Barron - SR
Lester - RSJR
Dre - JR
Menzie - SR

LSU has a ton of athletic players, but how many JRs or Srs in their starting 4 in the secondary?

At this point it is no question LSU. Bama has not faced a legit offense.

So, if Bama hasn't faced a legit offense, how are we saying "no question LSU"? Wouldn't we have to say we don't know yet?

LSU is going to have a nasty defense. It may be as good as or better than Bama's. But, until I see Bama's defense look bad, no way I'd trade. And I'm sure LSU fans feel the same way.

This is exactly how I feel. Best part about LSU is they're all young and will be around next year minus Mo. That kid is playing his way to a 1st round pick.

How is LSU's secondary better? Alabama has the best safety tandem in the nation and the Dre is one of the best corners, maybe the best. LSU has a better DL but that's it.

Let's see, more INT's against a tougher schedule sound about right?

And let's not argue about the schedule. Two of the Tide's first three opponents have yet to win a game.
