Tennessee
Fan support, facilities, and history are a draw. I like UT's recruiting base more as they're fairly close to Georgia.

UT and it's not even close. Sorry.

A lot of people forget that both Atlanta and Cincinnati are roughly the same distance to Knoxville. Atlanta's roughly 3hrs and Cinci is almost 3 1/2 hrs. A good recruiter and coach could do big things with our program.

Tennessee because I like living in the south.

Any difference is marginal. Both are, without question, top 5 jobs in this league.

No history before Pearl
a) The prison jumpsuits at games are actually a pro, as they are easy to spot
b) You are too young or too slow to understand the Vols had basketball before Pearl.

I think we're willing to pay more. We'd go $2M+ in the right circumstance.
UT has slightly better facilities and larger arena.

Well I would have just stuck with Stokley atmosphere but most folks have no clue and would think I was talking about a person and not a place. If I said Mears I bet most of the Rant were too young to ever hear of him even tho.
Pre Rupp it was a good rivalry and I think the series was pretty balanced. During Rupp it was pretty lopsided to the Cats. If memory serves the mid 70's to the mid 80's was when the Vols had the best run.

Have you been to TB? When they did the upgrade it was the way all college basketball venues should do their corporate seating
a) no glass so you can actually add them to the noise level
b) up high so the low seats are still for the active fans
c) nice but not gaudy or over the top
As for the venue itself, the outside is no prize to look at but the inside gan get pretty lively.

So how would you rank Tennessee and Mizzou basketball facilities versus the rest of the SEC?

Fair enough but when Lord Voldemort declined - he really declined.
Regarding Stokely... pretty soon no one will remember it at all. They slated it for demolition in 2012 and no one would donate to the project - I wouldn't. Unfortunately, the university raised enough by 2014 to finally raise Stokely to the ground. Now I'll grant you it's not really a beautiful building like Alumni Memorial Gym which before everyone's time used to host the SEC tourney (now Alumni Memorial Bldg) but it was incredible on the inside and bore witness to Ray Mears, the Ernie and Bernie Show, Summitt's first Championship Season, "The Dream Game" between Louisville and Kentucky which launched one of basketball's best rivalries, and it sucks that it's gone.
Years from now it will probably be remembered best by Elvis fans as a bit of trivia as to where his on tour documentary was filmed and that's a damn shame. Stokely deserves to be remembered as a place that had an enormous impact on ALL of basketball - both men's and women's.
Stupid Fire Marshall's and their codes...

Tier I
#1 Rupp - not even close, especially the stuff most folks never get to see
#2 TB - still love and miss Stokley tho
#3 BWA - especially after they do the upgrades (still think a certain corporate box there might be nicest in the SEC)
Tier II
#4 Memorial - even with the age and history I still love watching basketball there
#5 PMAC - Was there when they opened the upgrades in 2010
#6 Mizzou Arena - above average for SEC but not national elite like YUM, Rupp, dean Dome and the other top venues
The rest
Coleman - like the venue and not sure newer would be better (similar to how I feel about Memorial)
Colonial - nice venue but needs crowds
Auburn - have not seen a game in the new venue
O dome - would love to see a new and bigger venue
Stegemen - decent venue but UGA needs more support for M & W basketball
Reed - decent venue but needs a facelift with SEC membership
Tad Pad & Hump both need SECTV money to freshen up the places

Which doesn't have anything to so with the quality of their facilities. But you needed more room between UT and MU. Carry on.
