Was Dobbs considered a good passing QB? Kelly was the only decent passing QB in the SEC last year.

UGA never played a team the was good thru the air last year.
I never said they did. But they were still horrible against anything prior to Pruitt's arrival. Alabama also hasn't been quite as consistent in the secondary since Pruitt left after the 2012 season.

Alabama because there is young talent playing at an elite level as any other school in College Football. Most of the starters were 4 or 5 stars and atleast have two more years of playing time, also there is significant depth at all the positions.

LSU. Only one with two first rounders in next years draft

Poor buga. It's a different ballgame when you're playing a secondary full of alphas that can't wait to hit you.

Just noticed this but damn everyone that has Bama at 1 has a shite ton of downvotes. Im sure its not bias though

their secondary is way overrated
We started 2 true freshman, a redshirt freshman and a guy playing safety for the first time. Our secondaries in 2013 and 2014 were not that good, but our secondary last year was pretty good (and incredibly young).
The only team that threw well against us was Clemson and to an extent Ole Miss. Kelly was 2/2 for 139 yards and 2 TDs on the tip six and the screen pass blow up. Other than that he was 16/31 (52%), 202 yards, 6.5 YPA 1 TD/0 INT.
Player - Season Avg Rating - Rating vs Bama
C. Kelly : 155.86 / 171.35 (+17.49)
J. Dobbs : 127.01 / 139.38 (+12.37)
D. Watson : 156.25 / 160.04 (+3.79)
J. Stave : 125.67 / 127.57 (+1.90)
B. Harris : 130.49 / 95.01 (-35.50)
D. Prescott : 151.01 / 103.42 (-47.59)
B. Allen : 166.48 / 107.46 (-59.02)
C. Cook : 136.57 / 83.69 (-52.88)
G. Lambert : 141.47 / 63.44 (-78.03)
Alabama played the following QBs ranked by Passer Rating.
#5 Brandon Allen
#12 Deshaun Watson
#13 Chad Kelly
#17 Brent Stockstill
#21 Dak Prescott
We also played Connor Cook and Josh Dobbs.
We finished 8th in the country in Passer Rating against while playing 5 Top 20 Pass Efficiency QBs, 3 in the Top 15. Outside of Big XII teams I doubt anyone played a schedule of more solid college QBs than we did.

Marlon Humphrey will go first round, probably top ten, if he declares after this season.
Eddie Jackson is borderline. Could be a late first rounder.

He's more efficient at passing than most SEC QBs

When Pruitt first came to UGA, we had 2 DB starters kicked off the team and another transfer. We were pretty much forced to start 2 true freshmen and a walk-on RS freshman, and still fielded a top-10 ranked pass defense.
He walked into a much better situation at Alabama with the talent he inherited, and his proven track record should indicate that they'll be top 3 at the very least.

I think it's reasonable to think that Eddie Jackson, Marlon Humphrey and Minkah Fitzpatrick will all be Top 50 picks.

I'd say LSU and Alabama at the top followed by Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee in the next tier.

I think the NFL GMs will be a little more leary after some of Bama's recent DBs in the NFL.

You can say what you want but Saban takes a personal hand in the secondary. What players do when they leave Bama is up to them and their less than adequate coaches that most NFl teams have. Diets, weight training, assignments are not as scrutinized as Bama does. Bama has no control over a Cowboy or a Bengal. They do control Crimson Tiders and thats why they play at the highest level.
Guys who play at Bama will
be taught the correct way to play defense
be in the best shape of their life (Lacy was never out of shape at Bama)
Be put in the position that best suits them. Some Bama players have been moved to unnatural positions in the league.
Have no excuses accepted for poor play
Have no one make the final decision but the Head Coach.
They wont
Be allowed to do whatever they want when they want
wont have one cutsie uniform they wear once a year. At Bama the uniform is the uniform. white pants, a crimson jersey at home and white for road, crimson headgear with a gray facemask for ALL games.
Solid black shoes for all games.
No dancing at practice
Saban said it best when he said the uniform is part of the program.
If you want to wear cute uni's, play unconventional ball ,have dance offs at practice, have your coach be your best friend and love playing for him then there are other programs that will fit you. Bama is not the program for you. The coach is a dictator, rules ares rules and there is one voice that makes all final decisions. If you want a more "laid back" or fun atmosphere then go somewhere else.
Some will say they are college kids and need to have fun. Fine. There are programs for you. At Bama its all about winning and hard work. Winning the national title is the most fun you will have. The Machine is all about winning and winning every game.
