I don't really have a problem with Miles not using PP as a return man more than he did

Yes, he was probably the best return man on the field but he was also the best corner and I'd rather have that than risk him getting hurt or worn out on special teams more than he already was

I'd say Abney but I'm probably not being objective. I watched him run two back in one game against us @ Kentucky.

Anyone who doesn't say Javy Arenas = Homer.

He had the stats, Less than 10 yards shy of all time in the NCAA (which he would have had if it wasn't for penalties), and he was a gamechanger.

This. 98% of the time the penalty was absolutely irrelevant to the return and in no way aided Javy's yardage. Was a shame when some of his 30+ yard returns were called back.

if Peterson had been returning kicks for us in 08 and 09 we wouldn't be having this argument.

He would've led the NCAA in cramps?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Dude was a baller.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. Let's decide this
remove jeff demps from list, replace with brandon james.

To all the LSU'ers. Here is your sign that you are lookin through tinted glasses.

Look at the responses from NON Alabama/LSU posters.

Arenas wins that vote and it isnt close. Hell even the Auburn posters that hate all things Alabama are saying Javy was better.

As to the "if he had returned during 08/09/whatever", if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, not a damn one of us would have a tooth in our heads.

PP7 had the better averages/stats, and his only season of returning was better than Arenas best. Arenas did it for multiple years.. but it doesn't matter much. Cam is one of the best QBs all-time in college and he only did it for one year.

Arenas wasn't even the best PR in the SEC in 2009.

I'd say Arenas, too. I love Peterson, but anyone putting him ahead of Arenas is wrong.

Also, I'm sure there are guys that haven't been mentioned that should have been.

Watch out for Andre Debose at Florida.

Randall Cobb gets a nod not just for his return abilities but for becoming the SEC All-Time All-Purpose record holder (2,396 all-purpose yards).

I know Abney at one point was 2nd in All-Purpose yards.

Arenas was pretty badass too. I'm pretty sure it was Abney he beat out for the SEC career punt return touchdown record.

Javier Arenas, not all that close given what each of the options accomplished.
