I also believe there is some merit to the Skyler Green fans' argument.
The guy had an 18.5 ypr average in 2003. Incredible. By the numbers, Green's 2003 was better than Peterson's 2010, but they are close.

I wasn't aware AU TN and Flagship fans had teeth....

Arenas. Not that close. Almost broke national record (as punt returner).
KO returner, I'd go Abney or Brandon James.

Meh ... In like 3 years time. PP breaks that in 2 and a half

James was only great against TN. He didn't do much to anyone else

Javy had 2 years with more yards than Peterson had last year (his best). You must be using that "new" Math.

If he's such a great return man, why wasn't he returning kicks his first two years?

This is easy.
Punt returns - Arenas and Peterson.
KO returns - Felix and Abney.

KO returns - Felix and Abney.

Skyler and holiday were both better at luckless than abney. Peterson was the best

Peterson seemed rather average to me outside of a few games, Skyler was just a straight up monster in 03.

Arenas edges everyone in consistency, duration, and had monster stats.

Ah well. You can still make the argument in terms of potential or talent. That one is winnable.

Well you're forgetting that we didn't always have Peterson back there last year. Many times it was Rueben randle fair catching. When we did teams kicked away or put extra hang time on their kicks. He still averaged more yards than javi but less than skyler.

Didnt we make him our bitch in 93?
90yds PR David Palmer at LSU Nov. 9,1991
163.4 All Purpose Yds per game David Palmer (1,961 yards in 12 games)1993 (2nd in Bama history)
3,916 All Purpose Yds David Palmer 1991-93
(598 rushing, 1,611 receiving, 866 kickoff returns, 841 punt returns)
Can't locate individual game stats. It's possible yall did in 93, as we lost 17-13. He had some success though too.

Oh, so now we have the "coach is stupid" argument. If this was a clock management debate, you may have a point, but the misusage of player argument only applies to Houston Nutt. Sorry.
