Tuberville. He wins hands down because he basically won it in 2004 without actually winning it.

Richt is better than Tuberville so even though it really pains me to say it, Richt should get more consideration for this topic than Tubs.

Strong candidate here. Miss those years with him at MSU, probably my favorite coach all time.

Both were monumentally screwed by the polls when they should've won it.

Depending on who you ask, many will tell you UF was national champ in 1984, including the New York Times. I have seen the trophy a couple times.

Houston Nutt never even won the SEC, let alone NC. For the record, Nutt holds the distinction of being the longest tenured SEC coach to not actually win the league. Yo!

Easily Pat Dye

Dominated the 80s

4 sec titles and 3 in a row. His players went undefeated in 1993. We got robbed By Miami and Jimmy Johnson for a NC

Also posting coaches just because they had an undefeated season is retarded. There is a reason Terry Bowden was in exile at Akron for so long and Tubbs was run out of town.

Including Mark Richt in this discussion is a joke. Despite not even being able to recruit his home state properly he still has unbelievable recruiting classes just by being at UGA. Bobby Petrino has done more with a ton less than Richt does at UGA. I have been hearing that "Richt needs to produce" from UGA friends for years. The fact that you guys include him in your top coaches w/o a NC is a joke

During Nutt's 10 years at Arkansas, 7 of those years produced 4 SEC wins or less. That's just average at best.
