I don’t hate Grier I hate McElwain for not doing more to keep Grier when our QB room is so terrible. I hope Grier goes #1 overall next year, he’s a good kid that made a dumb decision, I think Mac should’ve had his back but it is what it is.

He "accidentally" took PEDs, man, as soon as the NCAA is involved it's really not that much of a decision. Just bad luck.

However, Cam Newton is ours.

I have a feeling Brandon McIlwain will be a good one at Cal but glad we went Bentley regardless

I think he will because of that System.

Kinda like how good Mason Rudolph was at Okie State.
Yea he's good and all but he's talents would not have been shown with our shite offense/playcalling.

He got lucky for his careers sake.

He wanted to stay though, Mac pushed him to transfer and told him Del Rio was his guy. If Mac just lets the kid compete when he’s eligible he would still be here, but I guess that turned out okay in the long run.

Hard to say how good of a CB he was, but that was his projected position at the next level.

Would have been at least all-SEC at DB amd an upper round draft pick...great athlete.

Actually Bradshaw has said in the past he couldn’t qualify academically at LSU

Nate hybl had a more accomplished career then nick Marshall, not to mention marshall wouldn't have seen one snap at qb if he stayed at UGA so it's hard to peg that as a loss. Who knows how good a DB he'd have been

Our worst lost player was Tucker Fredrickson from Ft Lauderdale area in 1960...he wanted to come to UF but we didn't have a veterinary school back then and AU did.

He played multiple positions (back in those days of platoon football a lot of players played RB/DB/WR) but mainly was a bruising RB....drafted 1st overall pick and he did open a vet practice in Florida and a vet I took my dogs to a few years ago told me he was still practicing...but probably retired now ?

CMR on Nick Marshall

quote:

"We certainly looked at him as (a quarterback), the possibility, but we believed he could be one of the best cornerbacks in America," Richt said. "We believe he could be a very high draft pick as a corner as well. He's that talented of a guy."

The OP is talking about players that left or transfered
...not players you never signed.

Could be Cam for UGA too. He was local and wanted to go there but y'all went with Logan Grey instead.
