best star, Horry wouldn't even be in the discussion for top 10 ever from the SEC most likely.

well MAYBE top 10.

Horry was a better player than Rondo imo. if only for his clutchness.

if horry doesn't make shots in the playoffs, no one would remember him. rondo has been an all star twice already and probably has a lot more to come. just because horry made some big shots doesn't make him a good player. he was a career bench player. i mean honestly

know what? a guy that had a career average of 7 points a game =/= an nba star. yes, he has hit some big shots, but that does not make him a better player than dozens of others to come out of the sec. dude rode the coattails of shaq/kobe, hakeem/drexler, and duncan his entire career. he was just fortunate enough to be a bench player on good teams

what do you have against Shaq?

It's not really Shaq personally, but I've always hated the Bulls and the Lakers. When it comes to the NBA, I'm a Pistons and a Knicks fan [Pistons are first for me]. My dislike of Shaq is more that I hated his time with the Lakers. I actually didn't mind him when he was with the Heat.

If there's anything else I have against him, it's that his game isn't exactly pretty. He's never worked as hard as he could on his game, and his repertoire is limited [though what he does, he does VERY well].

Shaq. He changed the game... the entire league changed their gameplan when they played Shaq in his prime. Hack-a-Shaq.

Pistol Pete? Seriously? frick him. narcissistic white guy that nobody liked playing with. He shot lights out but couldn't live til he was 50. Way to use your great health insurance.

edit: what do you know, bunch of LSU folks are offended by this post.

This is easily Shaq followed by Bob Pettit and Charles Barkley. Maravich might be the most overrated NBA player of all-time.

I gotta think Kentucky has produced some top NBA talent, surely there are some UK fans on board to tout their standouts?

shaq, easily and the second would be barkley..... those guys are the real stars the rest may have been good and famous but star wise barkley and shaq are miles ahead of everyone and shaq is miles ahead of barkley.
