Best MSU QBs of the Croom era?

I know this is the burning question that the board has been waiting years to be posed:
1) Omar Conner- Great dual threat talent, Sly tried to fit him into the "Wess Cos" offense as part of his brilliant strategy. One tough sucker too
2) Mike Henig: yeah I know that he threw 5 INTs in the opener against LSU in 2007, but he had the Crooming Gang rolling better than any other QB did towards the end of the 2006 season imo
3) Wesley Carroll- "Led" State to their only bowl win and appearance of the Croom continuum, but I felt like he was not very good and mainly got bailed out by big plays from their defense and special teams in 2007
4) Tyson Lee- he was like 5'10" and looked like Dave Aranda. I think he was a good pocket passer in the Tyler Wilson mode, led State to an upset of ranked Vanderbilt in 2008

We had absolutely no business winning that game (same could be said for several wins in 2009-10)

Technically I think KJ Wright was a Croom guy. He was a work horse.

Wasn’t Henig like a fur coat heir or something?
I remember my MSU buddies making jokes about that. I think......

Why wear seersucker when you’re sporting the fur coat De Niro throws off that broad in Goodfellas?

Croom had a terrible OC but was loyal to his hires and despite everyone saying so he stuck to his guns. I see 2 of the QB’s you mentioned that would have been great under a different OC regardless of head coach. It is what it is.
And it’s not all Croom’s fault, other HC had the same. Omar Conner was so gifted to run a Mullen offense, that would have been fun to watch.

Omar Conner and Jarious Norwood could've been lethal with the right OC

Just last week my brother and I ended up in a knife fight over this very subject. It’s simply too explosive a topic for the Rant. Mods need to act and act quickly.

Always said Mullen can coach up a qb. Give him 2-3 years with anyone and they get much better. I think Dak being in the NFL had alot to do with Mullen.
