Concrete is beautiful to some, I guess.
It's infinitely better than erector set. That's not even a question.

Probably a bad angle on google street view gave you this impression.
He's probably impressed by the bollards in place to keep you from driving onto the field (or the cows from wandering in) since State can't even afford a closed bowl

I get that there's a problem, but both your new AD and coach seem determined to do something, and I don't blame them. It's past time.

Tiger Stadium has never, even with improvements, been what anyone would call "nice." Great old school venue with a good atmosphere, yes.
There are more "premium" areas in BDS and Kyle Field just because of the shear number of stuff that's there, in BDS's case.
They are the only 2 stadiums I know of that have entire television stations/studios inside their stadiums. I know Alabama has Crimson Tide Foundation offices with a movie theater, Hall of Fame, and Crimson Tide Sports Network Offices and Athletic Dept Marketing offices are all located there, which has to have nice areas.
In addition to all the club areas. Don't know or really care about the number of skyboxes in other stadiums, I know BDS has 156.
Tiger Stadium is a lot of great things, but nice is not an adjective anyone would ever use to describe it.

nice setting but seems like games would be miserable in Seattle most of the time

Back in the day you could watch Derrick Thomas kill it in bds and lf atthe iron fence ground level ...is that even possible now.. brother popped Derrick on the shouldermapads before ole Miss loss I take full responsibility like Hilary does for her crimes

yeah, I like the setting better than the actual stadium I guess. It does rain a lot there too.

Ask UCF about the joys of erector set construction.

Its the best, hands down, and for all the reason I listed.

BDS is a lot more "old school" than Tiger Stadium is. There is nothing like the huge expanse of concrete bleachers with few exits, little lighting, and long treks to restrooms/concessions at Tiger Stadium. Won't find that anywhere.

BDS has far less club seating than Tiger Stadium. And although it has more suites...156 compared to Tiger Stadium's 140...LSU suites are almost uniformly larger, and all of them feature outdoor seating. Same is true for the club seating.

I get that you feel that I'm dissing BDS, and you're reacting, but you are completely wrong on every level.
These are football stadiums, first and foremost. And Tiger Stadium was designed better, and improved better. There is now no comparison as to which stadium is a better place to watch a football game in.
But take heart, that's true of every other stadium as well. Not just BDS. Although I'd have to rank BDS dead last in terms of sight lines.

It rains a lot there, but not for long. I guess it's one reason the air smells so good, and the area seems so clean.
Certainly hard to beat the views.

If he does for Florida what he did for Miss. State, you guys will all be very happy.
Know what football stadium in the SEC ranks third in terms of overall premium seating? That would be MSU's Davis-Wade Stadium. IIRC it has 132 suites and almost 4,000 club seats.
Most people are surprised to hear that. Now compare that to what BHG has...

It be interesting to see how they expand/reno BHG, since it's so hemmed in by roads and buildings.
If it was my choice, I would tear down the north endzone structure and rebuild something that is better incorporated to the stadium and offers more seating options. It is really the only place we can do anything significant given the limitations to the south and east.

I like stadiums that are open on one end.

Is it possible, that like with the baseball stadium, that a new football stadium in a new spot would be the answer?

can Florida even add on the swamp if they wanted to?
the way it's built I'm not sure they can.
the swamp is an odd structure.
