1989: Tommy Hodson vs. Tennessee, 39-45 loss; Hodson was 31-49, 438 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT ( LINK)

Tennessee won their bowl game and finished #5 in the AP poll at 11-1, having given up more than 14 points only 3 times in the regular season that year.

I remember that game - when Victor Jones body slammed Shazzon Bradley.

A depressing year for sure. Five straight years of not losing more than 1 conference game in a season, and then go from that to 4-7.

Jerious Norwood vs Houston in 2005 in 28-16 L.

24 carries for 257 yards and a TD. At the time it was a new school single game rusing yards record until Dixon broke it against UK last year.

Also had 4 Rec for 9 yards and 1 punt return for 9 yards.

Eric Moulds had 15 rec for 183 yards and a TD against Tenn in 95. Tenn won like 52-14 or something like that.

2001 Tyler Watts against South Carolina.

The Gamecocks had no answer for Alabama quarterback Tyler Watts,
who accounted for a whopping 383 yards of total offense. He
completed 20-of-25 for 231 yards and rushed for 152 yards on 22
carries while executing the Crimson Tide's option offense to
near perfection.

Robert Edwards against UT in Knoxville in '95. He was just starting to come into his own at TB and this was his coming out party. He ran for right around 100 yards in the first QUARTER. He was the literal definition of unstoppable. Early in the second he completely demolished his foot/ankle on a long run down the sideline and that was that.

I don't have access to the stats, I'm sure someone can look them up, but I remember DJ Shockley having a hell of a game against AU in 2005 after missing the last game due to injury. Pope was a monster that game as well.

Good thread.

From recent memory, I recall (of all people) Jevan Snead going 20/31, 253 yards, and 4 TD in a loss to Wake Forest two seasons ago and Dexter McCluster having 203 all-purpose yards against Auburn in a loss last season.
