"I went for a mathematics degree. At a college much more highly ranked than anything you rednecks in Arkansas could dream of"

Reads like you may be owed a refund.

Um the last place I would want to coach is Bama post Saban. Expectations would trample you before you even got started.

Yeah, I doubt anyone even considers taking the job. Looks like I might have to do it. And like all the coaches that ran through there since Bear, I will have a ten win season. Place is awful, just awful.

Alabama is most certainly NOT the best head coaching job in the SEC. There is an awful lot of pressure connected to that job. While every head coaching job in the SEC comes with pressure here in the 21st Century, none of them compare to the pressure the head man in Tuscaloosa feels every day. You are constantly being asked by a rabid fan base to deliver the same sort of success Bryant delivered the program during the glory days of the 1970s. Nick Saban's successor will now feel similar pressure due to Saban proving it still possible to win in a Bryantesque manner.

Money, weather, recruits. It's why Muschamp left Texas. It's about as easy a job as Texas.

If it's as easy as Texas, you guys should be pissed at basically every AD you've had, because you've underachieved for decades.

Also, LOL at weather. Since when is playing football in a swamp attractive weather?

Ga has 180 FBS signees last yr. Most are within an 1 1/2
drive if the campus. Louisiana and Alabama had about
80 each. GT and now GSU (stupid decision) are the only
other FBS schools in the state. So as far as access to talent,it has to be UGA but there really isn't as big a commitment to winning at all cost compared to Bama,LSU or even AU. We won't oversign anf we're not gonna hire 27 "non-coaching coaching posistions" And
you won't see us signing kids that get kicked out of other
SEC schools.

I asked a question. What would make Alabama the best job in the SEC over the likes of LSU, Florida, UGA and even Vandy. This was in response to a dumbass statement that Bama is the best job in the SEC but it takes a special coach to do it and then they rattled off 3 coaches in 50 years. That to me screams that it is the opposite of the best job.

That is such a dumb argument. I'm not saying Bama is the best job in the country, but it is certainly one of the few elite HC jobs nationally. You do realize that your whole "3 great coaches in 50 years" deal is a load of crap, right?

Those three coaches had a combined tenure of 38 years and counting. Bryant was at Bama for 25 years, Stallings for 6 and Saban for 7 and counting. 38 years of stability and greatness out of 50 is amazing. Nobody else out there even close. And when you consider that all of the crappy coaches we've had in that span like Fran, Dubbose and Curry have all won 10 games in a season and many of them won SEC titles--it's hard to argue that it's not easy to have success at Alabama. Say what you want about the pressure, you have the best facilities, tradition, salaries and a great recruiting spot right in the middle of the south east bordering Georgia, Florida, Louisianna, Mississippi and Tennessee plus decent in-state talent. There may be 2-3 jobs out there that are better but not many.

LSU. Very strong in-state talent with no in-state competition and very little outside competition. Easily the best job IMO.

Very little outside competition?

Teams such as the following have hired an "Ace" recruiter with la ties.

Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Texas A&M
Texas
Ole miss
USC
UCLA
FSU
North Carolina
Nebraska
Arizona state
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Arkansas
Georgia
Mississippi state
Miami
Southern miss
TCU

I had a great list made two years ago that listed every coach or assistant coach in the country that had la ties, and emailed it to both magilla and gatordmb. Bottom line is more and more staffs realize they need to try and dip into the talent that is Louisiana. No other state produces as many future NFL players per capita as Louisiana.

Learn the history of the State of Florida. There is a pretty good reason why no Flordia schools had success in Football till around the late 60's, early 70's.

Arkansas. Win 7 or 8 games, play LSU hard, lose your bowl game and settle right into that perennial mediocrity for life. Smooth sailing.
