Arkansas has gone 9-7 against Big 12 opponents since the year 2000.

Even AI says the Sooners are the best team from 2000 til today. Oklahoma has the most wins .

[quote]I would put Oklahoma over Georgia.[quote] OU has more wins, more conference titles (by a mile), more championship appearances. Only trails by a single N[C
Youd be very wrong. UGA was good before Kirby. He took the Saban approach and pulled in the best players.....and won two in a row.
Came closer than OU several years but had to play in a much tougher conf.

Wins are fine. But only ONE win matters in the end, the National Championship. It’s been 17 years since OU played for one. Unless you’re a homer, Oklahoma is NOT the #1 program since 2000. They are at best barely top five.

2000-2019 was fun.

Now do record in the 2000’s without Saban. We have 2 nattys to y’all’s 0. We have 3 conference titles to y’all’s 0. Wanna take a guess at y’all’s record against LSU without Saban in the 2000’s? Without arguably the greatest football coach of all time y’all aren’t close to LSU. You’ll see soon enough. Then all you Gumps can go play in traffic with this tired narrative.
Now take away LSU's good seasons. How do they fare?
This is stupid. Bama had Saban, they had Bear. Those things happened, those seasons counted

Or you could just watch the games yourself and realize the payoff is the hard part.

One could make a case Oklahoma was the #1 program 2000-2008 but after that, it began to dwindle.
I would put USC #1 and Florida #2 for that time period. Both had more national championships than Oklahoma and both won head to head vs Oklahoma in a championship game.

I don't think Covid really was the issue, but your next two are huge.
They just needed to ease into NIL. It was so simple to do and no one regulated it at all. Just put a limit on amounts to pay in the first few years to figure it all out. Pay something reasonable in those years and then when the market was realistic go from there.
Maybe $500k was the limit per player. Then a player making the max wouldn't transfer to get more money b/c school B can't pay more money. Then you just start feeling your way from there

LSU had just as many national championships as USC and Florida during that time period. Oklahoma would be behind them as well. They also beat Oklahoma head to head in the BCS title game.
