How the hell is it Bert? His record is atrocious.

The guy from ND is a tremendous coach FWIW. He has dealt with a ridiculous amount of injuries over the years I believe.

Jimbo
Harbaugh
Dabo
Patterson
Miles > Stoops, but Stoops stepped up his game this past season.
D'Antonio
Kelly from ND
Briles

It's really hard to rank them

Herman is quickly climbing the ranks, but still have to do it at a major program IMO before being considered.

Say what you want but Miles is in the top 7 with Saban and Meyer being on top. When we win the NC this year he will be solid at #3.

These 4 are in the top 7. Not in that order because it doesn't really matter. It's hard not to have Fisher in that group, but I think he is right in the mix for sure. Probably can take Patterson out and put Fisher there.

Mark Dantonio
Jim Harbaugh
Gary Patterson
Dabo Sweeny

you are going to put these guys ahead of bob stoops?? are you serious??? and LOL at WHEN you win a national title this year..how about beat bama first

I don't feel like Bert should be in this discussion but he has done a very solid job from what he started with, two years we will know for sure if he can continue to improve the team.

Name another coach that has averaged 10+ wins over the last 10 years and more conference and national championships than Miles and I might reconsider.

Not really fair to the coaches who have been coaching for 5-9 years. I think Jimbo makes a strong argument for 3rd.

So you don't disagree that Miles also could be considered 3rd

Both are in weaker conferences and don't have the accomplishments that Miles does. This isn't 2001 where you could win the SEC with 3 losses

There are arguments for his case at 3rd but I would have him somewhere in 5-8. Not a big separation from many of those coaches after you get past Saban and Meyer.

Seems like it would be between Dabo , Harbaugh , Patterson and Dantonio . The idea of Miles or Bert being a top coach seems like a joke . I don't know if they are even top coaches in the SEC. I would take a fairly unknown coach like coach Mac , Herman or Fuente over them right now .

No reason why it shouldn't be Dabo. Dude tore Oklahoma a new a-hole twice in a row and made it to the national championship with a Heisman candidate on the way too.
