Theyve had some pretty disgusting teams. But Mac Jones hasnt been tested yet.

2018 hangs half a hundred on this Bama team. 2016 holds them to around 20 points

This defense isn't championship caliber.

Lol, the defense alone prevents this from being true. Bama used to literally terrorize people defensively. Those were the best teams. Ask that LSU team who lost 21-0

Everyone says nice things about everyone. It’s how coaches are.

This is a damn good Bama squad though.

Not as long as Mac Jones is playing QB and Pete Golding is calling the defense.

LOL, no. Not even better than last year, at least yet. Offense is inferior to last year (but not by a ton), and the marginal improvement in defense so far doesn't close the gap.

2016 was our best saban team. I’ll never get over the fact that we lost to clemson. Just talent wise we completely outclassed them. Jalen just couldn’t do a thing that night

All of this.

An 18 yo Jalen Hurts, Eddie Jackson getting hurt, and Bo Scarborough breaking his leg in the 3rd qtr of the championship is the reason this team isn't remembered as an all time great.

This team beat the East champion by almost 40 points and Jalen Hurts only had 138 passing yards and 1 TD. The defense was magic.

That defense was one of the best ever. Its a shame the offense went 3 and out so many times. Alabama led 24-14 in the 4th quarter and then gave up 3 touchdowns whe they finally just wore out

It’s just the development of college football...offenses are just scoring more (unless you are Auburn). Bama’s defense will hold serve and their offense will score 30+ each game to win.

He's playing reverse psychology. Hard to argue with 2011-12 as their best teams; even though they didn't go undefeated I feel that they had fewer vulnerabilities than 2009
