Those quotes are going to look great hanging on the wall of his State Farm office. Or is it Nationwide?

You'll see them every night when you're emptying the trash can and sweeping the floors.

The NFL is so hung up on systems and measurables

Totally agree with this premise.

It is not that he will not be given a chance, its that due to size and reputation he will be given less reps and will have to ball out at a much higher level to stick while a top 10 pick like Levis or Richardson will be given every opportunity in the world to fail.

I have no idea if any of the three will be solid NFL QB's, but it is a fact that the higher you are drafted and the closer you resemble the desired physical build, the longer rope you are given.

If Drew Brees were 6'4" with a stronger arm, even with the shoulder issue, there is no way in hell San Diego ditches him to go with Philip Rivers.

A Tide fan on another thread believed he'd go as high as BY and have just as fruitful of a career. That tells me that not all of them are too prideful and butthurt to admit the truth. Oh and uh, I think BY is going to be an NFL star. See there...it's not too hard to be realistic and show just how smart you really are, if you try. (wink)

So the people who agree with you are experts, but if they disagree they don't know what they are talking about

I don't care what your or anyone elses opinion on Bryce is. I hope he does well in the league but I'm not personally invested in it like you seem to be with Stetson. I'd probably draft Stroud over him.

The most important event at the combine for him was finding out he is 5’11.5”. Guarantees he will be drafted.

Public opinion said that guy was like 5’9” lmao

It’s pretty funny how no matter how many shorter QBs are successful at all levels of football, they always get the same labels even when their play doesn’t back it up.

I didn't say they were 'experts'. In this case, they're just honest.

Yeah, I'd say AR has probably a good shot at a 6-7 year career...as a backup tightend.

Why are y'all so sensitive about Bennett?

I have no clue whether AR will succeed at all in the NFL and I'm not going to cry about it like y'all do with SB.

Not sensitive...but I seen some fans on another thread questioning his arm strength. I just figured I'd throw this out there in his defense. Is that so bad?

You threw out a random shot at another QB to defend yours?

Sure thing.

The NFL is just a different beast than college. This time of year especially can't be taken seriously when using measurables/40 times to predict success.

Take a few years ago with Amari Cooper and the WR from West Virginia Kevin White. White was a "physical freak show" and many of these "experts" predicted he would have more success than Cooper after a big combine. Cooper is still playing at a high level and White is on a practice squad somewhere and never had any of the success predicted of him.

So, it's hard to think Bennett will ever do anything in the league aside from being a professional backup like AJ.

And made every excuse you could find for why he was a bust at UF.

The truth is neither of these guys is likely to do well in the pros, for different reasons.
