Did you not read the links I posted above?
We tried.
They declined.
Then, once we filled our dance card with other teams, they slithered back.

Goes both ways though. South Carolina got a better bowl than Missouri probably because of playing Clemson despite having a worse record.
Vandy got a better bowl too despite being 6-6 (they played @ Notre Dame).

But you get the critics complaining about your "nobody" OOC's.....which they have a point.

They did? Both bowls were in the middle grouping of 6. They’re on the same footing.

Do moral victories go before or after losses in the record?

Dickriding Clemson at this point in the season is pathetic. You lost, get over it.

think it is very clear that the committee cares more for inflated win totals than a challenging schedule when it comes to those outside of the top 4. Just some food for thought during this extended break before the bowls kick off.

I agree 100%

That is the problem when anyone brings up losses in the playoff discussion.

It should 100% be based off of ranking wins. That would encourage more quality matchups.

The college playoff committee is blowing it. Teams will notice and adjust scheduling the wrong way.

You know the problem with the SEC Rant? It averages about one thread each day with substance like this. The rest of the time it's just a damned troll fest.
