Ben Tate only has 24 more carries. That's 1.8 more carries per game than Ingram Besides, yards per carry has nothing to do with splitting carries with other backs. As I said earlier, things can definitely change

Tate is a good back...but comparing the 2 is dumb. One runs on a pass heavy team, the other on a zone read run
team. Also..while it is true that Tate was hurt last year..he still has had 2 years of camp and learning. This does help. It is possible that Ingram will not be a star...it is absurd to judge that at this point.

You don't think that's overused by now?

All arguments are null once the players leave college.

I agree Tate and ingram are on two different offenses but Tate only has a different running style from Foster. Tate and foster run the exact same plays and uses the same way. There really is no change of pace. Texans do have a better rushing oline.

I'd take Tate but I'm a biased Texans fan though.

Ah, that explains why he has more yards then. During their final year in college...who had more yards and more tds and more carries?

Tates final year in college, he had 1362 yds.

Ingrams final (injury-riddled) year, he had 875.

I guess we need to look at NFL production to determine who was better in one particular season in college.

No doubt that Tate is the better NFL back so far.

I'd give them a couple years before settling the question.

Same can be said for Matt Leinart and Aaron Rodgers.

Who's winning that one?

playing second fiddle to Arian Foster.

There is a reason he is on the bench. Benchwarmers don't get to talk trash about being better than Heisman winners.

I wonder if the admins can open the ATPB thread to rid the boards of these flea bitten tards who have filtered back in? I notice one has been tamed and trained by the admins some. They still can't cure stupid though, oh well.

Tate >>> Ingram.

Really not much to argue. Tate missed all of last year while Ingram played at bama. Tate has better measurables, has been more productive, and is flat out better and will have a better NFL career.

End of discussion.

Should have never won the heisman. He was not even the best RB in his own state.

As a Saints fan…I can honestly say that I have been “underwhelmed” with Ingram thus far. His production, his “power running” abilities, and his durability, have been questionable at best (in my humble opinion)

Too early to say Ingram is going to suck, but Tate is definitely exceeding expectations. I figured he would come in for 2 years, struggle to stay on teams, and eventually get cut. He's proving he can be a premier back in the NFL.
