How so? As it is now, the big 3 from each side play the big 3 from the other side. This means that annually, the conference schedules are pretty equal. With a 6-2 rotation, the randomness will likely result in greater inequality in any given year, but may result in more equality over an extended amount of time.

You don't think so?
At least currently, that seems like it would do the job.

No, because it is offset by the rotation. If you happen to have a year with two big boys, you later on receive a year without either.

You really don't want your team to be LSU's rival-just ask Tulane and Ole Miss

Let's ask Florida!

WEST - TAMU, Missouri, Arkansas, LSU, Ole MIss, Miss State, Alabama

This would make the most sense in terms of geography and competitive balance.

Can it Tiger...you all caused all of this shite!

Why did LSU sign up to play Florida every year to begin with?

We didn't, we signed up for Florida and Kentucky, just like Bama signed up for UT and Vandy.

You are going to have to get better at reading comprehension. You just gave an example for what I wrote.

Yeah, what pussies complained about that arrangement anyway?

Since anyone and everyone who argues against the status quo and in favor of whatever they deem is in their school's best interest is automatically a pussy...

So it's not an inequity then. You rotate, so the rotation is going to determine the schedule, not some arbitrary constant because two teams can't live without a second and third tier rivalry and refuse to go to the east because it's unequal.

I would happily send you to the east. I don't care about playing Auburn every year.

You need to learn the definitions of the words "inequity" and "arbitrary." Simply because the schedule is more random doesn't mean it is more equitable. Preserving traditional rivalries while having the stronger teams in the divisions play each other is not arbitrary it is an effort toward scheduling equality.

A random scheduling of the 6-2 will no doubt lead to more inequity in scheduling in each given year. Since trophies and championships are given out on an annual basis as opposed to comparing records over time, then the 6-2 is less equitable than the current system. Neither is entirely equitable.

When you rotate equally, it's inherently more equitable and less arbitrary. The way we have it now, it's inherently inequitable for LSU compared to Ole Miss, for example.

But not over the long-term, which is the issue. On a given year, sure, you can get screwed. LSU happen to get South Carolina with expansion, UGA lost Alabama. That shite happens. But having some teams play shitty teams and others always playing non-shitty teams is not equal.
