Let me summarize the point of this thread. From 2000-2007 Alabama sucked extremely bad at football for the most part. Had a couple of decent seasons in there, but for the most part sucked. The reason for that sucking was self inflicted with terrible decisions by certain Bama fans and some horrific head coach hires. At the end of the day as bad as that stretch sucked it is not nearly as bad as sucking from 1893 - 1999. I am correct that the only period most LSU fans on this site recognize is 2000 - present?

Saying LSU recognizes only 2000 to present would totlally discount the fact that no SEC school has won more National Championships in more different sports than LSU. Yes, we may be the King of football since "2000" but we are more than football.

yep...congrats on a great season last year....what I just dont understand is that as great as alabama is, with the talent and the coach they have in place....after this year, they will have still only won 1 SEC Championship in a decade plus. This will make 6 years with the great Saban, and only 1 conference title. But hey, who needs conference titles when you can bypass that and still win a NC...if you are alabama.

Sigh...I can only assume that your parents were so poor that you were forced to attend Louisiana public schools.

Now LSU is the poster boy for a hype machine. Hell, I hope the shutout won't hurt an SEC teams chances to get in the championship game in the future.
