And what happened inbetween the SECcg and the next game?

All of that is irrelevent as to who would be in the +1. As I said, it's unlikely. But the format Bench used, is a very unlikely one and no way USC would be in it.

They always dropped a game to a nobody. That 2008 USC squad was among the best in the country except for one horrific first half of football.

But it is relevant as to my question of, who would actually win the game?

Plus not playing a Championship game, they had a loss, with one less win than anyone else. USC didn't deserve to be in a plus one.

The 2008 Florida offense vs the 2008 USC defense would have been a crazy good matchup.

A locked-in Mark Sanchez versus that Florida defense would also have been fun to watch. Arguably the best national championship game matchup in the BCS era that never happened.

they still had a conference title thou and Bama didn't. I believe if there is ever a +1 the conference champions would get the nod over a team like Bama that just lost theirs.

And I said, likely, Bama wouldn't. But they would have been in a +1, not USC. Which is what the OP stated and wouldn't have happened. If he had said Fla and Texas or Fla and Okie, that would have been a more likely scenario.

Not if they aren't in the top 4. Bama was. USC wasn't.

USC that year would not have been left out of the top 4 and you know it. The AP and Coaches poll would have voted differently to insure that they would be in.

Do you really believe with a +1 system that a team that wins their conference would be left out over UT or Bama that didn't win theirs?

Yeah, the 08 USC squad is one of the most overlooked teams in the BCS era. They have only themselves and that midget RB to blame for it though, they could have gone down as an all time great team if they didn't get stomped in one half of football.

Tennessee

LSU in the Sugar Bowl, USC in the Rose Bowl, 50/50 in the Fiesta or Orange Bowl

USC

Florida, but only if they played like they did against OSU

LSU

Florida, but it's close

I really wish we got to see some USC-SEC champion bowl games.

Yes. Because they were. Before the Conference Championship games, USC was 11-1 and ranked 5th. Bama was 12-0 and ranked 1st. After the Conference Championship games, USC was still 11-1 and ranked 5th. Bama was 12-1 and ranked 4th. Bama had more wins and the same number of losses and was ranked ahead of USC. That is fact. I said back then they would be and I had several USC fans on the More Sports Board say the same thing you are saying, but it played out exactly like that. USC didn't deserve to be in the top four, nor in a plus one, had one been in place. Bama had more wins and didn't have more losses. Accept it.

I must admit I'm surprised that everyone has said Tennessee over Ohio State so far.

You're missing my point. I know what the rankings were at the time but there was no +1 then. It mattered little where where Bama or SC were ranked because they weren't going to play for the title. In a +1 scenario I think Bama would be left out as they just lost to UF. You're telling me they would have given them another shot at florida over someone else? I doubt it, CFB doesn't like rematches, its why most didn't want a rematch of OSU VS UM in 06.
