The computer polls wouldn't have changed. Doubtful the Harris would either. Bama was ahead of USC in both of those, tied in the coaches. USC wouldn't have moved ahead of Bama solely off the coaches and they wouldn't have put Bama under Utah, Texas Tech or Boise St, nor would they have put USC over Okie or Florida. USC would not have been in a +1. Not with less wins than Bama. 12-1 in the SEC > 11-1 in the Pac10, any way you look at it. Also factor in, Bama won 9 of their 12 games by 14 or more points and their only loss was to the #2 ranked team and led them with 9 minutes left in the game.

Agree to disagree but its a good debate regardless

Like I said before 08 is a season where the +1 would not solve anything. At least one worthy team would have been left out that year.

That site is for entertainment purposes only because, for accuracy, its a load of crap.

I "played" 2004 AU vs. 2004 USC six times... USC won four. OK. But in two of those games they scored 50+ pts and in one they scored 60+.

Against the 2004 AU defense.

Right.

Like I said, crap. The programmers obviously coded to their own biases (are programmers are wont to do), so their biases are exactly what you get.

You are talking about the USC team that ran up 55 points against a 12-1 Oklahoma right?

They could have hit 50+ vs. damn near anyone that year.

meh

They were a very good team but they had some really close calls against bad teams.

I highlighted what you seemed to have missed (one of the biggest BCS pretenders in the history of the BCS).

SEC in a clean sweep - with Florida beating LSU if that match-up occurred.

Yea, Chokelahoma. The team who is 19-10-3 vs the SEC. With a losing record only to Florida.
