Based on SEC Sankey's statement, you might be able to predict your team's perm rivals

What becomes really important is long-standing rivalry games, geographic proximal games, and we want to work with our TV partners a little bit more before we make our final decisions,” said Sankey

In this case, South Carolina trumps Kentucky as UGA's 3rd permanent rival, along with Florida and Auburn, of course.

In other words whatever ESPN wants goes.

Hence why that report from The Athletic is probably accurate. Alabama's permanent opponents will be Auburn and Tennessee due to long-standing rivalries and Mississippi State due to it being a long-standing rivalry (we've played them more than any other SEC squad) and also due to proximity. Our campuses are only 80 miles apart.

I hope ESPN wants us to not die for our 3rd team

I'm going to miss LSU's annual game with Miss State. Goes back a long way.

I just don't see the two schools being deemed permanent rivals.

Why would UK and UGA be perms. We want Tennessee Vanderbilt and South Carolina.

Nope, he said on PF that media would have the reigns. They will kill the golden goose.

Pretty sure we'll get bama and UGA. Maybe MSU for the third spot. We've played the Bullies since 1905.

What completely moronic imbecile would think Kentucky could be our third permanent opponent?

Yea, Sankey stressed the geographical and historical aspect.
No way Bama loses UT and Auburn and State has been the most frequent opponent plus they are right down hwy 82. I could see Auburn with Bama, UGA and probably Vandy. UGA will get Auburn, Florida and South Carolina.
Whats going to be interesting is Texas. I say OU, A&M and Arkie. LSU is going to get Arkie, A&M and Ole miss. A vandy gets Auburn, UT and Kentucky.

I think it will be Florida as the third for Auburn. Let's face it, they already said they may re-evaluate in 5-10 years, and it may take that long for UF to be a bigger fish again.

Roughly 100 years of the Daily Double?

Georgia has been the most visible at Keeneland of the SEC schools

I’m wondering if there will be any triads.

LSU-OM-State
UT-Vandy-UK
5&7-Whorns-Arky

LSU-State
UK-Vandy
5&7-Whorns

I don’t think those three survive.
