For such a great defense at Alabama they have no sacks in the past two games against much inferior olines.
And the three teams we have played have also attempted a grand total of about 10 passes more than 15 yards down the field. It's next to impossible to get sacks on QBs taking 3 step drops 90% of the time.

Bama is fricking shite up in the backfield, it just hasn't been sacks yet...
but let's see how you do against legit teams that don't have 260 lb OL

alabama typically doesn't have many sacks under saban. a lot of times they struggle to pressure the QB without the blitz, too. they make up for that with stellar LB play.

Look at last year's Baltimore Ravens. They only had 27 sacks, yet they were regarded as one of the best blitzers in the NFL.
They only say that to not upset Ray Lewis.

I think it's because Saban goes for power over speed for his JACK. They don't have that little bit of finishing speed to get those extra sacks.

Well you have to blitz in a 34, otherwise you'll only have 3 guys going after the QB. The Steelers send 5 almost everytime, although they use their OLBs a different way in the 34.

A couple things here: First Bama hasn't blitzed much, either because the DBs are a strength, or, what I think, is Saban is not really wanting to show his hand yet in the packages he's going to use. Also depends on the quarterback. I think you see many more blitzes this weekend to get into Mr. Wilson's grill. Second: Why was Lester and the boys still out there with 10 minutes remaining last night. He looked like he was injured pretty good, but did walk to the lockerroom, maybe a stinger at best, maybe something worse?

Would be nice to get some production from a DB on the blitz, but I have not seen anyone that has the knack. Miss Javier.

They saying it was back spasms. Didn't sound serious in the press conference.

It's just an unfortunate back to back stretch

Still not as bad as last year though. One home and one away. Bama has a good setup with the schedule this year, not having 2 back to back away games all year.

My biggest complaint about Saban, leaving starters in too long.

What are you gonna do when yall face a real defense? Bama has played better ranked defenses than Lsu, and Lsu is middle of the pack offensively right now.
What real defense or offense has Alabama faced? Penn State? I don't think so.

62. Oregon
63. Miss State

Florida because it's on the road.
Bama will lose one of the next two.

Possibly, however you have to look at the reasons why UF may look formidable now. Defensively, they have jobbed the #56, #118, and #119 offenses. Offensively, thay have played the #65, #107, and #116 defenses.
The UF game will be tough, but I actually feel better about that game now than I did before the season when I said that I expected a Bama loss in the Swamp.

What? My god is this the Tide fans' company line these days?
If you are at all honest, you have to admit that Alabama's scout team has better athletes than at least two of your three opponents to date. And an argument can be made that would be true vs Penn State as well.
Geez.
