What's stopping them from claiming false National Championships? Nothing
Bama is a propaganda machine.

Agree it's silly to claim Quinn, but whenever Quinn discusses his influences with the media it is always Saban and Carroll. And he mentions them equally.

Really?

You've listened to all of Dan Quinn's statements to the media about who his coaching influences were and you know for a fact that he mentions Carroll and Saban equally?

Really?

You're one of those message board posters who claims to be an expert in whatever you're talking about but you don't back it up with anything other than, "Oh yeah, this is what happened ..."

I'll like for you to show your work on that one, if you don't mind.

Of course, I'm messing with you and am saying all of this good naturedly, but I still find it hard to believe that Quinn sees Saban has his primary influence after just one year.

soon to the list: Kiffin in an LSU or Auburn jacket

Ah, remember tSECR narrative when Saban hired Kiffin as OC?

"Saban has lost his mind."

"Dude is a cancer, a program killer."

"tDecline is real."

Good times.

I'm a Falcons fan who lives in Atlanta.

I hear most of what Quinn says to the press, yea. Especially immediately after his hire when the "what is your style/who are your influences" questions were asked every media session.

Fair enough. That's what I meant by "showing your work." Thanks for giving me the context as to how you knew that. Seems like an obscure thing, but that does make sense that he would have shared that in that context.

No Dabo? As far as half the others, they have either looked bad or not proven anything.

Does Bama really need a poster for recruiting at this point though?

Saban does not get a tree. Screw him.

He's part of the Bill Parcells

Parcells actually came from "the Steve Sloan tree" at Vandy and Texas Tech

Sloan came from The Bear

Why is Dan Quinn on the list? It's very misleading to put him under Nick Saban's coaching tree. He was a coach 10 years before being with Nick Saban for 1 season in Miami.

Ok, take Quinn off, big whoop...what is Malzahn's "tree" looking like?

Being a part of the Saban coaching tree has gotten a lot of people jobs.
