Cam won't be kicked off unless the U forces Saban's hand. He will get a 4 game suspension or something and move on and make millions. Stinks, but that's how things things play out more times than not.
your persistent optimism in the face of this news is commendable.

Nick Saban may be an incredible coach and recruiter, but he's an awful disciplinarian for players and their issues.
I disagree. How many of Saban's players have gotten in trouble multiple times under his watch? I can think of one, and that's Geno Smith. What he does obviously works.

Pettway incident happened literally on campus. Robinson and Jones are far, far, away from the Tuscaloosa "justice" system.
What does that even mean?

Eddie Williams was most needed, hard to say who was best AT THAT TIME given that that the others committed assault and their football careers ended after their freshman year (i think) and the other didn't assault but was present and got to continue his football career in JUCO and then at alabama.

It is a business, and any coach who doesnt look at it that way is fricked.
When guns are involved the University President might feel "business" dictates the kids are booted. If anyone think Saban isn't answering to anybody on this one they are crazy. He may end up making the call but he has to account to the leadership for this much bad press.

Need to spin it - We are ghey and needed guns to protect us from the redneck hicks if they caught us getting it on in the park. Louisiana isn't supportive of our rights!!!
And we needed the weed to help with the anxiety we experience from the threats of the rednecks attacking us

it means whatever sabear and the REC want to do will have to wait until this plays out in court. and the wheels of justice do not turn quickly. and considering these arent LSU players, I dont see any reason the court will expedite any of this.
I think "suspended indefinitely" is a safe bet, if they have not been process'd already.

Others have mentioned things like this - why? Curious - has he gotten in trouble before?
Lives in the doghouse. He's not the brightest bulb in the box and has always seemed like a punk to me.
None of that has been evident about Cam though. Always thought he seemed like a good dude, despite going to Alabama

Again, are you implying kids don't get arrested in Tuscaloosa? Do you guys just ignore real world occurrences when you cobble together these lines of thinking?

Very good point - University as a whole has an image to uphold, and priorities.

Because Eddie Williams pleaded guilty to felony assault and was on 5 years probation.
Meh, Eddie played a year at Bama and couldn't sniff the 2-deep. Nobody could figure out if he was a S or a WR. Maybe the most underwhelming 5-star we have ever signed. Nobody was sad to see him or his talent leave. Pettway was a bull...very undervalued player and will make an NFL roster.

Yep - and (my guess, at least) the only way they fall back into it is when they go back home and get back into those surroundings
Usually, but this was two guys who were together in Monroe who also go to the same university in Alabama. Thus problem could/would have happened anywhere. They weren't back home hanging around the wrong crowd.

Brent Calloway got arrested a few times, didnt he? didnt you have another player get arrested a few times within the matter of a few days?
