It is a stolen weapons charge. There is a good chance this will be out of Sabans hands

I know they made a dumb decision but anybody that's happy or excited about this happening to these young men should be ashamed m. This is bigger than football these kids could have potentially ruined their footfall careers.

If the police narrative is true this will stick. Gun on the lap with drugs present and another gun under the seat which turns out stolen. Sad deal especially for Robinson who was so close to making some serious cash to play football.

Has he still not bonded out yet? If it's only 750 bond and he's still in there, I suspect Saban has already said F it we ain't getting the kid out

All fanbases have a large chunk of them that do this. It's short sided and stupid, because we all recruit mostly the same kids and we all end up having this situation occur at some time or another. And, of course, kids lives are being ruined (by their own actions, though).

It is what it is. I don't really get it, in any situation, but a lot of people love it.

This.

Players convicted of a felony cannot participate in SEC athletics, correct? I'm not sure how this applies to charges though.

Let's look at the other side of the coin

What if they were never caught and Hootie ended up shooting your wife with that pistol in a robbery gone wrong ? What if they sold drugs to your son/daughter ?

Don't try to play that holier than thou shite here

It will come out that Hootie kidnapped Cam and forced him to perform these felonious acts. Hootie gets life in prison and Cam misses the first day of full pad practice as punishment.

Maybe, but if these are first offenses for both of them (and Cam Rob has a legit, believable story about having the stolen firearm) then I'm betting the felony gets pled down and they both get probation.

I stated it was their own action but no matter the team we root for we shouldn't be excited about these things.
