Anyone with half a brain knew that at least one of those kids was not going to make it, and probably at least one more will be processed out.
You don't have to like it, but you can at least admit that the coaches probably took some of those kids to keep them out of the hands of their immediate rivals in the West (and East). That's part of the Process.

So how did the coaches lie to them?

Bear Bryant tactics from back in the day.
I am sure they did but it is the kids final decisoin...and like I said, kids are dumb.

Lies by omission are still lies.
But this is college football, I'm not crying for the kid getting a free trip to college.

and now they wasted a year of Kamara's career.
Much like AU burning JJ's redshirt for a few snaps here and there that Jonathan Wallace could have taken. Now what does AU do? As well as NM played this year, is there really a chance for JJ to play next year. Two years wasted.

One played and one didnt...awful comparison.

Playing backup in the championship game =/= languishing at 6th on the depth chart

I think that our coaches took them because they were 4 star recruits that had interests in playing at Alabama. And I think that its dumb for you to assume that they will never do anything at Alabama when the 2 in question have FOUR YEARS left at Alabama.

Yup.
With Fowler leaving, that leaves Bama with 7 rbs and a big time recruit possibly coming in to replace him.
Thats a crowded backfield.
Fowler has a year of eligibility left.

For those that don't remember, Bama sent Kamara over 100 letters in 1 day. He was a very high target for the staff. But keep telling yourselves he was only recruited to keep him from other schools

I think it's pretty silly for anyone to discount a recruit/player when they have at least 2 years left.
A lot of 'bama fans thought Corey Grant was worthless. He's been money for AU this year.

The list of 4 star recruits who found their careers' end on Alabama's bench in the past few years is pretty long. It's a problem of success, I'm just saying taking 4 running backs in one year is a little excessive, to me. As a coach I would probably say 'you know, maybe you should go to another school and start.' Tenpenny for one probably could have started at Arkansas this year, but Alabama HAD to have him. Now he'll probably transfer.
Ultimately up to those kids to make that decision though.

Bear Bryant was an a-hole.

Good news for UGA is that Kamara's troubles seem to have disrupted the UA stranglehold on Norcross. I don't think Kamara's decision had anything to do with the depth chart. He just got steered there in spite of his best interests

So he knew when his redshirt was burnt he would be playing backup in the BCSNC game? Wow.
