if bama goes 9-3 or 8-4, the fans won't give two shits ...

most of us know that there might be a stumble or two in some years ... we'll take that if it means a couple of more nattys in the next few ...

Coker was one of the worst QBs I've seen in a Crimson jersey until after mid season. He was pretty stellar in his last 3 games, with a better QBR for the end portion of the season than Watson. If Saban can win early games with a guy playing that inconsistent he can win with anyone. A tough first game and a brutal road schedule will probably wear Bama down to 1-3 losses, BUT I wouldn't bet against them in any of those games as a stout D (will probably be around 15-17 PPG), an All American level LT, and an explosive guy like Ridley will have you competitive in about every game.

I usually want to see a tough D and an experienced QB to pick a team to win it all, but I don't see that anywhere besides Ole Miss and Clemson this season, and until Ole Miss can even play at a high level for 12 games, I'm not picking them for anything.

Bama may lose to OM - again. But by the time they play us, Kiffin will have figured out their QB/offense.

Same with Arky. They'll slog the first few games but by the time we play them their TE will catch like 15 passes w/ 3 for TD's.

I'm interested in Blake.
How did he look at his spring game? a-day?

Blake was horrendous in his senior year A-Day game, and when I say horrendous I mean horrendous.

2 years. I guess he technically wasn't "young", but he was inexperienced in terms of actual time in real games.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, man. I didn't watch your spring game. I went to our's instead. I was just asking because I read somewhere he was sacked by Nick Saban.

And Cooper Bateman has been in the Bama "system" since 2013. He was an Elite 11 prospect coming out of high school as well.

In fact...I believe all four QBs competing for the starting job in Tuscaloosa were Elite 11 prospects.

Between this and the thread about Saban's 2007 loss to ULM it seems that LSU fans are unbelievably butthurt toward Saban today. Even though he left LSU 12 years ago.

He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in that A-Day game. Everyone already was penciling in Coker since he had just transferred, but after Sims A-Day performance everyone put ink on top of that penciling. I thought we would lose 3 games solely because of him if he ended up starting over Coker. Luckily everyone, including myself, was wrong.

I think we're talking about two different things. I brought up Blake yesterday. From all I've read he was one of the best starters out there.

And Nick Saban sacked him.

I was asking how long Coker was in the Bama system before starting.

Oh, my bad. I thought you were asking about Blake Sims. But our QBs never look good in our A-Day games though. Coker didn't look very good last year either.

Blake Barnett looked ok. He didn't throw any ints, which had plagued him in the previous scrimmages leading up to the A-Day game. He didn't really have a lot of time in the pocket, but then again none of our players did except the true dual threat guy, who was able to move around.

Why of all people are LSU fans screaming this shite? I've unfortunately seen this same thread by our fans several times in the past few weeks too. I'm embarrassed.

And this is what you said last year:

Alabama - tjbutler on 8/17/15 at 9:36 pm
will have tough year short at running back poor corners and unsettled qb and tough sec schedule . Best Vegas bet under 9 1/2 wins . Will want nicks job. Best nick got two years left....

Bama LBs - tjbutler on 8/20/15 at 8:21 pm
LBs too big can't play side line to side line only vertical. Nick refuses to move with the times in dealing with the spread. Check Ohio state highlights attacked the edges for big yards. ...

Bama is bad - tjbutler on 9/28/15 at 8:31 pm
Bama best bet on the board at least 2 additional losses. Lsu and Georgia. Qb problems a And db problems can't be solved. Recruiting classes didn't pan out. Sorry boys. ...

Nice try, Its amazing almost all your post are about BAMA.
Bamaenvy much? If Bama starts winning again will you disappear for another 5 months? I hope so.

Wishful thinking. I'll take ANY of our young quarterbacks to that seasoned vet junior quarterback that LSU has.
